Kanter wasn't too expensive for Utah, but they let him go cuz of Rudy, then he increased his value to a MAx player as a Backup on the Thunder? Is that how it went?? No way. C'mon now, thats obviously NOT how it went.. He was gonna get PAID from what we saw here in Utah...

The Jazz were the one who held the control. Kanter on the other hand, had no control over the situation...

If Utah didn't have control of this particular situation, then the system is flawed... do you understnad that? the owners collectively have failed to stand hallowed ground and the players association has seized too much power, and the competitive balance will sway further towards bigger markets, and probably in a year-over-year compounding manner, it'd only get worse before it got better...

U can't seriously believe this...What a spin-job... Kanter was deemed too expensive for us to retain, thats Utah giving up on him, not the other way around.

When he hit the market lets not forget 2 teams demonstrated they'd pay him the max, Portland and then OKC matched... It's not a matter of "giving up" thats a ******** narrative... It's a matter of $$$, book keeping, follow the money..

Let’s be honest here. Enes wanted out coz Rudy was better center and more fitting to Jazz basketball. Enes has amazing footwork but it doesn’t help all that much in today’s game in the long run.

Circling back to this. Kanter and Hood are who they are: offensively skilled but defensively challenged. Hood also is terribly inconsistent. Thus not surprisingly, Kanter's playing time steadily diminished against GS and Hood finished the GS series with a couple of woeful performances. You can't rely on either for consistent, winning play. Utah figured it out, OKC, NY, and Cleveland figured it out, and now Portland is figuring it out.
