It's still kind of weird to me that Quin really likes Clarkson despite hating Burks.
I think there are some traits that just drive Snyder crazy.

Unless that training camp involves growing a few inches and becoming much faster, then I think he needs to get his passport ready. So basically lets keep the shooting... and get rid of everything else.I g
uess I get why everyone is down on Thomas, but he’s got some skills, and some important valued nba skills. I think a training camp in Utah and preseason would do him good. He looks like he could be a nice role player IMO.
I think JC has a little better thought process on where he wants to go... I also wonder if Quin learned sometimes you just have to let it ride. IDK it seems weird. I think Brantley fits in the Burks mold of he's just kinda doing **** out there. It's still kind of weird to me that Quin really likes Clarkson despite hating Burks.

I don't mind it in the second round. I also don't mind it if you don't sign a guy to a three year deal at $10M per year to fill the role you are drafting for. If there was some Rudy pivot planned... I guess.probably right about Azubuike. Whether he turns out to be a player sometime, somewhere, I do see something of DL's thinking (though would have preferred to go after a wing at the time, personally) in that if the Jazz are going to prioritize having a drop-coverage big, at least he's someone that looks like he might have the potential to abuse a 6-7 wing guarding him down low.
Just trying to say that I don't really know what to expect if more of Quin's influence is apparent in future player acquisitions. Not sure that it will be what many us us sideline analysts may prefer.I never said a thing about who Quin's guys are. Obviously his guys are the ones that play minutes and the ones he doesn't like are ones who don't get minutes.
Morgan and Brantley are clearly DL guys who Quin didn't like. They never got minutes even when it made sense to give them minutes or they played well.
Things were a bit toxic and corrosive under the hood. .So, among other things, Quin didn't like Dennis's player acquisitions; Dennis didn't like Quin's rigidness in rotations, according to the latest Tribune article.T
I'm guessing he prefers vets like most coaches. They very much prefer the known. There is a case that the GM might not want to give a guy a veteran if he wants him to play the young guy... I don't think most of our young guys have enormous potential so Quin probably didn't want to take the bruises.Just trying to say that I don't really know what to expect if more of Quin's influence is apparent in future player acquisitions. Sounds like DL went rogue on his scouting staff as well... he was basically on an island with Udoka and said "**** yall Imma do me!"Honestly, it sounds like either Quin or DL should have moved on several years ago. When the coach and GM aren't on the same page, it's really harmful to the franchise. I wonder if the benching/non-benching of Conley last year came close to a breaking point.
Although neither is blameless, I'm glad DL is the one moving on.
