MC is a top selling female artist of all time and has had/still has significant influence on the music industry. Plus she's hotaf

She does write her own songs.
And she has like a million #1 hits (that means allot of people like the song) so it shouldn't surprise you that some people on a message board like her.

Really?
I would be very surprised if no one liked her music since she is one of the best selling artists of all time.
 
I guess people like all sorts of stuff. My taste in music is pretty terrible, so I'm not really judging. Just didn't think her style of music would appeal to grown men very often.
 
So I'm going to watch a couple MC videos. I honestly couldn't tell you one thing she sings.
 
Almost made it one minute into Vision of love. Ugh

Always be My Baby, okay I recognize this song, now I know who sings it. It's pretty garbage.

Okay, I started out kind of indifferent. Now I know that I really can't stand Mariah Carey. Hate that style of music. Her songs are all about love and relationships, blech. No real substance. I imagine 13 year old girls listening to that crap, not grown ups.

OK, I like your style, but not that far. I'm undecided about this female human being. About everything about her. Her face. Her body. Her voice. Her songs. It's like she sucks and all of a sudded she is awesome. Listening to Mariah Carrey hurts my brain because of this.

I don't know I think this is pretty nice. Then some dude comes in and sings hip hop and ****s the song up (I'm talking about another song).
 
I like Mariah a lot. Like 97% of the time. But it's that 3% in certain songs where she's trying to reenact Darryl Hannah in Splash on the floor of the department store that make me wanna destroy my own tv screen. It's an exercise an ability and nothing more to me. There's nothing aesthetically pleasing about it.
 
Fantasy with ODB is my favorite Carey song. It's tough to pull off fun, cutesy/beautiful vocally, and yet cool and this song does it.
 
she has an extraordinary voice Very cute when she was younger too, i don't think she's put out that many great songs though for her level of talent.
