Let us never forget pillow fort gate. The all-stars of this scandal were of course Dee "9 shots" Brown, and Ronnie Brewer. Let's look at them as individuals.
First, Ronnie Brewer, he had imperfect shooting form and yet seemed to shoot pretty ok (over 50%). He was incredible on defense and to this day I can still hear the echoes of his opponents yelling "swiper no swiping, swiper no swiping, swiper no...ugh!!" Unfortunately for Ronnie, he wasn't as great outside of the Jazz. He left to join the Bulls when they were trying to be the Jazz 2.0. He is currently in the D-League, where I would argue he does not belong. For more on this, see my future thread "10 Reasons the Jazz should rescue Brewer from the D-League".
Wee little Dee Brown. This speedy little guy, was one of Deron's Illinois teammates and against all odds made the team and played alright. We also learned he could consume 2/3's of his body weight in alcohol. Fun fact, this short little guy somehow recorded not 1, not 2, but 7 blocks in one season.
As much as it pains me, I guess Raja Bell belongs on this list somewhere. Raja Bell is probably my least favorite Jazz player of all time, but in honor of our game against the Laker's on Monday I will bring up his only bright spot: He allegedly clothes lined Kobe. I especially loved when he promised he would sing with us and the signed with the Jazz. And also this tidbit: "On July 14, 2010, Bell signed a three-year, $10 million contract to return to the Utah Jazz. However, his relationship with the team soured after two seasons. In a mutual agreement, he spent much of the 2012–13 season away from the team while still under contract. On March 10, 2013, Bell was waived by the Jazz." Some people like him, and this thread is the love train, so here is the love: Raja, Raja, he's our guy if he can't do it no one can!
Shandon Anderson (Colton special request). This stat sheet filler sure new how to take care of business. 19 minutes a game, 2 fouls/game, 1 turnover, 2 rebounds, and 1 assist...I can not believe he never made the all-star team. He was however a late 2nd round pick, and served a purpose. Averaging 19 minutes a game during some of the Jazz's best seasons meant he was good at something. This highlight video makes him look way better than his stats would lead you to believe. Aww, these were the good ol' days:

The only Jazz player (that I know of) to come out as gay (and first in the NBA): John Amaechi. This guy, was soooo brilliant, and sooo smart, and sooo fantastic. He studied at Oxford (or somewhere) afterall. He also, claimed that Sloan knew he was gay and that's why didn't play very much. But at 6 points a game on 30% shooting, maybe it wasn't because Sloan was an old man who didn't respect people's sexual preference, but rather an old man who didn't respect crappy players. Anywho, Amaechi's legacy will be that he came out as gay, hopefully leading to other players feeling comfortable enough to do the same. Amaechi also has published a book which received a reward from ESPN.
