Well, I'm a Ron Paul supporter, along with some of my best friends and a lot of folks in here. I don't think he's going to be able to change everything, or that all his positions are just right, but I just hope is gets elected and doesn't get shot.
Our foreign wars in more recent time have definitely become capricious in their concepts, and largely ineffective towards their vaunted aims, if we could even claim we know what their aims are. We have become a big bully on the world stage, and we're generating a lot of ill will, at a horrendous price to ourselves in life, limb, and finance. I definitely prefer the original US foreign policy, which was succinctly summed up as "Alliance with none, commerce with all", with the recognition that any free people just need to be prepared to stand for their own freedom. We could be a good example, maybe some of our private citizens feeling to become crusaders could form assistance efforts, but it's just bad business being the world cop.
I also support the call for an audit of the Fed, and for our legislative folks to assert actual control over our currency and debt, and stop the spending that is in effect a policy of generational theft.
