Does Jabari Parker have a chance at slipping past the 4th overall pick?

So, the main idea of this thread is that we hope Parker is so unworthy of reputation that he will drop to us?

Parker's last game he was 4-14 shooting and 0-3 from 3 for 14 points. Two Mercer players outscored him as did two Duke players. That performance to me looks like he's destined for the DLeague.

Do you really need duke's coach K to tell us that? Because his actions clearly showed that he has low faith in Parker's defense, coach K continuously subbed Parker out in the 4th quarter because he was getting absolutly destroyed on defense the entire time?

Vonleh's stock rising is the best thing evar, for two reasons IMO.

- picking him at 5 makes more sense, and gives us a solid chance at drafting an all-star
- growingly-higher chance of him sneaking into the top-4, giving us a blue-chip athlete

I was thinking about this in another thread, but I figured I'd read all of your thoughts on it in a separate thread:

I am praying -- PRAYING -- for very poor tryout-performances from Jabari Parker. It seems like he'd never get past Philly-- and if he did, he'd never get past Orlando. But, crazier **** has happened.

1) Embiid 2) Wiggins 3) Vonleh 4) Exum

pipe-dream I'm sure….but again: crazier **** has happened. These picks all make sense for the teams picking them. Orlando is pretty much set with promising youth at every position except point-guard. Exum/Oladipo/Afflalo/Harris/Vucevic is a strong core. Very, very strong IMO. Afflalo at SF > whoever they have at PG. Not to mention the fact that it has often been said that Orlando has heavily scouted Exum.

Given that Jabari Parker could have the most to lose in terms of measurements and athleticism in the top 4, what is the chance that he falls to us?

It may be worth recalling that last year no one really thought it would be realistic to get Burke. I still think this scenario is quite unlikely but stranger things have happened.

The last time a Polynesian, or at least someone who looked Polynesian, was drafted high was Michael Olowokandi. Drafting a player of mixed race from the SEC at #5 has never turned out to be an all-star and has resulted in zero titles. The last Mormons drafted in the lottery were Shawn Bradley and Jimmer. The former is now out of the league and the latter is on his way out. There's never been a half-Tongan SF from Chicago to lead their team to a championship. Never. If Jabari weren't Mormon, we'd think burning our 35 on him would be a bit of a reach. If our pick comes up and Jabari is on the board, you take Aaron Gordon. You can't teach athleticism.
