I voiced my opinion that okc had a good chance to beat the spurs before the series began.... But I would say that the reason they beat the spurs probably had more to do with durant and westbrook than kanterStill a historically good team and one of the best defensive teams of all time. Tim Duncan has a 5+ DRPM which is is the stat many of you guys use to say Kanter is unplayable. Even if the bigmen for Spurs are as bad as you say they are they are still a 67 win team. When is the last time the Utah Jazz had a 67 win season? If beating the spurs is not as large of an accomplishment as your making it out to be why didn't I see you making any predictions that OKC would beat the spurs before the game?
This.Good point. 8.7 points and 7.5 rebounds per game isn't bad at all. Not max money good, mind you, but solid.
When the season was on the line ,who played in the 4th quarter, when they were trying to stael the game in SA ,who played the 4th quarter and who played when OKC took off against SA and buried them in the 6th game
On a Jazz team that lacked offense,Kanter finished 4th in FG % in the NBA and generally wrecked havoc on the offensive boards during his 21 minutes of play.If you compare him to Favors stats this year ,he probably was more productive in less minutes .
There was talk of Kanter ,Favors, and Gobert having enough minutes to play 32 minutes a piece.
Well I know lots of fanz are hoping he does lousy ,but if he kicks a$$ then Jazz management looks like they blew it with him and gave him to OKC for nothing.

Kanter did ok. Way overpaid though
