I'm leaning towards no but if the rockets come at us with an offer of Jabari Smith, 2025 suns/ thunder/ rockets swap, 2027 suns pick, 2027 nets/rockets swap, 2029 Suns/Mavs pick then I can't see the front office passing.

I feel like if Keyonte and Kessler make meaningful leaps and they sign Bridges (who becomes better in a more serious organization) then a sneaky playoff run is very possible

I think the most likely plan this offseason is we sign Miles Bridges, extend Lauri, and trade Clarkson. How many wins is that team getting?
Probably 35-40 wins. I highly doubt Bridges is in play though. The hornets already took the PR hit bringing him back last year so I would be surprised if they don't throw a big contract at him.

No. I’m only confident because Lauri’s contract status is sub-optimal for extracting peak value. I think they RnE and eye the market over the following 6 months.

He’s definitely in play from what I have heard. It’s just a matter of if he wants to play here vs Charlotte/Detroit.

Yeah but if we aren't trading him now it feels like the window is over. The Jazz roster of young players will start pushing the team to be pretty good just on the merits of their own talent (fingers crossed). I don't see another year if tanking after this season.

This post got me bricked up

Fischer put out an article just now with a section about Utah. Honestly nothing to glean from it over than just another source saying Utah is looking to add another talent next to Markkanen opportunistically. Said if they cant other teams hope they will deal Lauri

Danny has never traded a player for a cent less than what the market would suggest (usually gets significantly better), even to the organization’s detriment (holding out on Conley/Lakers then saving the Wolves). That is all I know for sure, so if the package isn’t there (which is hard to believe under his current contract status), it isn’t happening (yet?).

We were in on Mikal Bridges and Dejounte Murray trade talks last trade deadline. We’re obviously looking to improve the roster.

He also walked on both.

The key in Fischer’s intel is Danny is interested in opportunistically getting stars. Good luck in a market that fetches a super role player 5 picks and a swap.

My belief is Danny is praying that an offer like that drops from the heavens for Lauri in part so that he can save face. But it’s not going to if he goes out and starts shopping him (nor would Ryan let him).
