I think he only does if he signs that day. I think if they wait so they can't be traded it will be slightly less

I'm also guessing the Spurs won't include the 2025 ATL pick under any circumstance unless it's at the deadline and it's fairly obvious they aren't that bad.

What would they have to offer if not that? We are doing the same thing we did last year with the Knicks - if they are not offering the best assets they can offer, then there are tons of teams that will outbid them... or the Jazz will simply keep Lauri and trade him later when they actually can get something of high value. We are at a point with our assets right now where the more and more assets we add the more diminishing returns we have from them, especially if they are not that great as single assets. Very soon we won't be able to roster all the draft picks we have over the next 5 years...

Some have said that he might be more valuable after they sign him because then he will be locked in for another 4 to 5 years and that gives them a much better option with having him locked in.
