You couldn’t be more wrong. If you held a gun to my head and said the only way to live was to name three starting players for BYU, I’d be dead. I didn’t watch a single minute of a single game. The only reason I know what little bit I do is because of Facebook and/or obnoxious Utah fans telling me about BYU’s laughable loss and/or how their wins and/or attention they’re getting is worthless. I rarely agree with Utah fans, on anything, ever, but this season was an exception.
Byu had the #2 play of the year in bleacher reports top 10 plays list and also had the game of the year (their loss to coastal carolina)
But they only got all those great things because everyone else didn’t show up. I have a hard time caring about fake awards and participation ribbons. I’m surprised you’re so giddy about it.
I agree that you don't care. I also agree that you are surprised that I enjoyed the season.
Great players are great, regardless of the competition. Brady Christensen would still be an All American if they played a tougher schedule. Zach Wilson would still be a first round draft pick playing their original schedule.
Agree to disagree. My ward ball team was easily the best in the world, and my numbers this season were career highs. We hit Region and guess what, not only was I exposed as a fat waste of skin, but our team crumbled under real competition.
Are we really at the point where Zach Wilson is getting compared to Jerry Rice, Steve Young, and John Stockton before he’s played in a single professional game?
Good post. I think what he was trying to say though is that just because completion sucks doesn't mean the team and players who played that competition also suck. They certainly might end up sucking but it isn't fact at this point like trout was trying to make it seem.
Agreed. I just haven’t mixed it up in a BYU-Utah conversation in a really long time. Maybe seeing Trout active on the board stirred up some old feelings I haven’t felt in a while.
