Trump did not fire him for his actions during the election. Trump was fine with that. Trump just fired a guy who is investigating serious allegations against him and many members of his administration.

Except that's not the whole truth, is it? Anyone not in camp Trump, and many in camp Trump, wanted Comey fired when he swayed the election. Saying it was just the Democrats is shortsighted, and obfuscating the larger picture.
