Let's pose a hypothetical here: Had Hillary won and fired Comey, would there be any objection?

That's not a fair hypothetical.

Had Hillary won, and was under investigation, and then fired the investigator days after he asked for more money to investigate, would there be any objection?

Yes. It would make her look petty, and guilty.

If Hillary had colluded with Russia to win the election and then fired Comey for investigating her collusion with Russia, and democrats were silent about the firing, then you'd have a point, Ditch.

But that's not what happened.

Essentially, this is like a manager at your work being investigated by HR for sexually harassing several employees. The manager gets wind of who filed the harassment claims, and fires these employees and the HR director who was doing the investigating.

You wouldn't support this, would you Ditch?

Donald's firing of those who have investigated him doesn't exactly dispel the belief that he colluded with Russia to win the election. Doesn't that actually implicate him further?

This is where we see that Trump didn't fully grasp the difference between being the chief executive of a business and being the President of the United States.

He isn't going to be able to make this go away.

Not from the democratic party. From some of their supporters, independents and Rs? Sure. But the D party itself would support her.

Democrats try to protect their own. But I don't see democrats trying to make their targets question their own memory, perception, and sanity like the Republican base does right now.

If the FBI is investigating him, surely just firing the FBI director isn't going to change that ? I can't imagine the FBI director is the one doing the ground work ??

Has there actually been any evidence of any Russian collusion ? All i've read is a bunch of "belief" statements ??

Not necessarily. Donald could replace the FBI director (and the worthless Republican Zombie robots in the Senate will just confirm) a pro-trump puppet. Early rumors give Chris Christie and Rudy Guiliani as possible replacements. A pro-Trump FBI director can divert agents and resources away to other investigations and essentially kill this Russian investigation. Just a few days before the firing Comey had requested additional resources to aid in his investigation. Do you really believe this to be a coincidence???

Several members of his cabinet have, namely his security council leader and his attorney general. Why do you think Donald would be firing those top officials who are investigating him? Donald is not only behaving suspicious, but he's behaving as a guilty person. You do realize that the firing of the FBI director has only happened one other time, right?

Ok repubs, Stoked, Dutch, etc, 2 easy Yes or No questions:

#1 Do you believe that Trump fired Comey because he felt bad for Comey smearing Clinton? YES or NO
#2 Would you be this dismissive of this executive behavior if Obama or Clinton had won and were being investigated for colluding with Russia and were firing all the top officials who were investigating him/her? YES or NO

Answer these 2 questions truthfully. Thanks guys!

This coming from the guy who continually refuses to answer direct questions is highly rich.

1. he did not smear clinton! he played judge and jury on clinton! he got fired because he is incompetent. he inserted himself into everything. for an unelected bureaucrat he had to much power
2. RUSSIA SMUSSIA! it seems you do not mind meddling into foreign elections! a kenyan american criminal politician, just meddled into the french elections! but the left is quiet about it

nope, didn't realize your Prez could make that call. Sounds like a debacle all round

Fwiw, Rod Rosenstein, the guy who was recently approved by a 94-6 vote and was a US attorney in Maryland for all 8 years of Obama's tenure played a very large role in Comey being fired. Timing is suspicious, but it is a warranted firing. Rosenstein, who actually seems to be non-partisan in regards to his job, makes a big impact in the thought process of this imo.
