Are you kidding? lol

I hear that crap all the time. Plenty of people view him in a very positive light. I am most certainly not one of them.
Yeah, I was mostly kidding around. Its just odd. There are plenty of thoughtful conservatives who, while I may disagree with them politically, arrive at their views in a reasonable principled fashion.

Hannity is about the furthest thing from that. He's less a conservative 'thinker' than a bomb thrower.

Amen! I 100% agree.

So now look who is under investigation. Do you suppose Trump is really, really wishing he hadn't fired Comey?

The special counsel overseeing the investigation into Russia’s role in the 2016 election is interviewing senior intelligence officials as part of a widening probe that now includes an examination of whether President Trump attempted to obstruct justice, officials said.

The move by Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller III to investigate Trump’s own conduct marks a major turning point in the nearly year-old FBI investigation, which until recently focused on Russian meddling during the presidential campaign and on whether there was any coordination between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin. Investigators have also been looking for any evidence of possible financial crimes among Trump associates, officials said.

Trump had received private assurances from former FBI Director James B. Comey starting in January that he was not personally under investigation. Officials say that changed shortly after Comey’s firing.

. . .

The obstruction of justice investigation into the president began days after Comey was fired on May 9, according to people familiar with the matter. Mueller’s office has now taken up that work, and the preliminary interviews scheduled with intelligence officials indicate his team is actively pursuing potential witnesses inside and outside the government.

The interviews suggest Mueller sees the attempted obstruction of justice question as more than just a “he said, he said” dispute between the president and the fired FBI director, an official said.

I don't know who carries the true flag for "conservatives". I don't think I'm one, really. My wife tells her friends I'm a socialist. Well, in terms of some I might be. I think our government oughtta build dams, desalination plants, canals, and keep water cheap enough to water our lawns. And maybe roads. yes, roads. I like Hannity because he is fairly moderate.... compared, say to Alex Jones or Michael Savage. He's what I call a "well-socialized" human being. He will have a lot of different folks on his program, and get two with polar opposite views together for a bit.

The other 'conservative' who can do that with grace is Andrew Wilkow, who has some kind of friendly relationship with Nancty Pelosi's daughter.

I think Sean Hannity is maybe IQ 105, so maybe not the scholar type. He's the guy you'd find in a bar who has the decency to be polite to everyone. I've followed him through about ten years, from being a George Bush loyalist, a Mitt loyalist, to Trump loyalist.

I just think America has room for some Patriot good ol' boys, and that's how I see Sean.

Trump is rocking something like a 60% disapproval rating right now so I'm a little confused by the notion that people who don't support him online must be paid hacks. Just doesn't make any sense.

Also I'm now convinced that babe isn't a real person. No actual human would ever say something like this :
"I would self-identify most with Sean Hannity"

This has been a theme around here for about as long as I've been on this site, so here's the traditional response:

I and at least two other people have met babe in person. One of those other 2 is a current and long time moderator. I also met one of his twin daughters and she was adorably conversational.

You and me both. I've long doubted my connection to reality. One of my favorite books when I was a teen was "Ship of Fools", I forget who wrote it. Studying Russian Literature my favs were Nicolai Gogol for his "Dead Souls", and Eugene Zamyatin for his "We". My favorite song was "Fool on the Hill", I think it was set on one of San Francisco's hills, about watching the way humans do and just being so out of touch nobody for sure would ever listen.

I remember being frustrated with Hannity, from the point of view of a fairly coherent socialist with big ideas for the world, and that Americana patriot stuff just seemed small town.

I think what has tipped me over is the hate level of the rhetoric on the anti-Trump "Resistance". Now if it were just a lot of Coltons or Jonahs pointing out the problems, I might be more willing to be agreeable.

But then you align yourself with Hannity? He is the Maddow of the right. A intentionally biased, misinforming blowhard. Terrible.
Makes sense. Sounds like babe tbh

From a distance this just seems like it's getting to the embarrassing witch hunt stage that is a bit of a joke to the rest of the world
While I do not think Trump has done anything that rises to the level of obstruction of justice, one would think that this will give him some idea that his words and actions matter and he needs to stay out of his own way. Recent history does not make this seem likely, however. He's like a bull in a china shop.

You don't?

Could you list at least one action trump has done that an innocent person would make? He must have idolized OJ Simpson. Literally everything he has done and continues to do is indicative of every case study I've ever read of a guilty person. From refusing to acknowledge or care about Russian collusion (revealed by both Comey and sessions) to wanting to hide and/or prospect those In his inner circle with criminal connections to Russia to refusing to release his tax forms despite paying a heavy political price, to demanding Comey to shut down the investigation, to firing Comey, to now making himself a martyr by attempting to smear law enforcement merely performing their jobs.

Seriously Jazzgal, you're a bright and fair individual.

Has trump done anything that an innocent person would do?

Another question, aren't trump's actions exactly that of a guilty person?

What completely innocent president wouldn't be mad as hell and get to the bottom of Russian interference in the election? Unless... you already know the answer.

For me, the evidence is already painfully obvious; Especially when you consider Russian hacking and the release of damaging material to Clinton timed exactly when trump was falling behind in the election. This investigation for me is less about discovering connections and more about confirming what most americans already know.
