What's new

Donald Trump

It speaks to the huge problems of racial, religious, and socio-economic inequality that is deep rooted in this country. We've failed as a nation to realize it and address it, hiding behind nationalism and economic prosperity. Those who are ignored are now speaking up, loudly.

This is what happens when we pretend that everything is ok, we're the best, and everyone who says otherwise is a freedom hating traitor.

The disenfranchised are rising up. It just so happens that many of these folks are bigoted, racist, sad, angry humans.

I like this post.

I think, like you said, that more and more people are rising up and not having it anymore. The problem is that that often leads us to very different places. They are all over the map

The trick is how do we bring enough of those people together to effect real change? And what real change do "we" want?

I'm in UT and conservative but I do not like Trump and will not vote for him. I don't know anyone that supports Trump and I'm flabbergasted at where his support is coming from.

Trump has lost 3 out of the 4 closed primaries that have happened so far. While there is support for him in the GOP it does appear that his claim of bringing people into the party is true. The problem for the GOP is that these are not the type of people they should be reaching out to.

I don't think he is bringing people into the GOP. If he was he would win some of these closed primaries as these people would be registering as GOP. But the results point to them simply voting in the primaries that are open and not actually joining the GOP.

It bugs me that racists are so good with branding. The KKK could be an acronym for something cool but the damn racists got there first. Strictly aesthetically speaking the confederate flag is better looking than the US flag. The swastika is a nifty lookin line. Why are racists so good at this stuff?

Just as our very own Hotnikkk stole the KKK, the Nazi's stole the swastika. It used to be a sign of good luck. Maybe you should steal it and try to turn it into something else. Make sure to let us know how that turns out.

Honestly the worst ideas always seem to have the best branding. It's like there is something about looking at the world in such a simple backward way that lends them an instinct for this stuff. It's like everyone with good ideas overthinks symbolism and tries to hard too be unique until they create a mess of it. The racist pos though is like "yeah, I like that. Don't know why but I could kill for that".

Too late this time of year...
