Donovan is pissed at some stupid Jazz Fans

To me, it's only taboo to boo a player when injured. Since fans pay the bills, they can cheer or boo you. It's been that way since, I don't know, forever. Ask the Romans.

Meh not really my style to boo anyone home or away, but fans can boo players for sucking if they want to. You drop a few hundred on the game, a couple hundo a year more on your cable package/league pass or whatever other swag you buy, you can express you dissatisfaction however you want in my opinion. Booing happens because it’s the most direct way for fans to express dissatisfaction. Would I do it, no... but I understand why others do (every team in the league gets booed or has players who get booed at some point).

It’s an over-reaction from both sides tbh



I actually really think hood could be really great. Just not in his current role, and not with the other players we have. Fans may or may not see the same way as I do, and when you’re frustrated with the teams last month or 2 it can spill out on a scapegoat. Rod is a scapegoat, because he hasn’t been what we needed. Which is unfortunate

how exactly could he be really great ? And if so how is it we haven't figured that out ?

I was embarrassed when they booed Hood, it wasn't like anyone else was making shots. Fans should never boo their own players. I am glad DM spoke up about it. Unfortunately, a few fans always make the rest of us look bad.

Of ALL of the possible things people might do that legitimately qualify them as being a piece of human garbage loser (do I really need to point out to you why we don't call people 'retards' anymore?), booing their local sports team ranks pretty low on the list.

I always love it when certain fans take it upon themselves to dictate to others what 'proper' fandom should look like.

Honestly, there are things that merit getting all uptight and righteously indignant about; this isn't one of them.

Don’t pay any mind to what he says. I once disagreed with him about boozer and he went on a tirade about how he knew some real life secret about me and threatened to post it and ruin my life or some ****.

besides his piss poor outside shot last night, his catch and shoot has actually been pretty good this year. he needs an off ball role on a team where he is in no way shape or form #2 on the scouting report, and can just pop out from off ball screens for catch and shoots all game. that's not our team right now.

With all this talk about our current situation and players and after seeing the Sundiata Gaines game winner against the Cavs 8 years ago on the Jazz Facebook feed tonight it made me nostalgic for that team, so of course I had to look back on some highlights. The era of Boozer, Deron, and Memo was a good one, and there are times I really miss that team. A guy like Memo is exactly what the Jazz could use today. I forgot how good Deron Williams once was and Boozer when he wanted to be. We had Korver and Millsap. That team was a piece away from being a championship caliber team. It’s sad that run was so short, but it sure made me miss it watching the highlights. Enjoy a look back at the money man, it was a fun ride with that team, and a good way to forget about the current one:

You got to be dumb as rocks if you think those 3's were bad looks.

Or maybe you are Joe Ingles and only think 3's should be taken if you have 10 feet between you and the closest defender.

If you think that shooting 24/25 footers with a hand in your face while you're in a major slump are good looks then I can't help you . Those are only good looks for about 1% of NBA players in history. It's a good look for Steph Curry, Kobe Bryant, Ray Allen, Reggie Miller, Klay Thompson, etc. It's a defendable look for a proven go-to scorer on a team. It's not a good look for Rodney Hood.

Do you think anyone on the Jazz, the coaching staff or organization cringed at his post? I don't. I bet it made a lot of people proud.

There are many things athletes shouldn't post. Having your teammates back isn't one of them.

I bet some cringed. Some would have thought like some of us are posting. That (a) it draws further attention to it (b) attacks fans (who are a pretty huge part of a basketball franchise) (c) maturity questions etc

But it's a 'move on - nothing to see here' moment in reality
