Is there a way to track heaves per game? Like the dumb half court heaves as a quarter expires?
This is what it all comes down to.
Mitchell's changed his shot. His free throw routine is even different (at least Im fairly sure it is).
Down in the shooting section.
Cleaningtheglass has a more sophisticated heave counter. I had the free trial and I remember it said that taking out heaves, Donovan shot 37% from 3 last year. Not sure about this year.
He’s looked fantastic the last few games.
Exactly what I hoped to see from him this year.
Well I suspect it remains the norm to finish the season.
He seems to be sticking his butt out more similar to how Korver shoots his FTs.
Yeah, I wish I could find video of just his free throw shooting from a month ago, but NBA.com play-by-play doesnt show FT's for some reason.
He seems to be pushing his elbow much further out pre-shot.
Mitchell has strung together a number of very good games largely due to his working on his shot selection and basketball decisions, which mean he's definitely "coachable" and is purging a lot of that "hip-hop" basketball slop that was causing his downfall earlier in the season! Can he keep it up? We all hope so.
Thanks for this I'd been a while since I've seen a true - blue, "git dat hood rat bawl outta here" CJ post. I didnt realize it, but I've missed them
Feels good to play well against bad teams. When will Utah start hanging with Philly, Bucks, Raptors, OKC, Houstan?
They've beat Houston two times this season.
Both OKC games were b2b for us and not them. While it doesn't say we can beat them it doesn't say we can't.
One thing I've noticed is his shot seems to have more arc. He was hitting the back if the rim a lot, now he's slowing down a bit, adding some arc to his shot, and they are falling (at least on his 3 point shot).
Exactly and can Donovan play like this against better teams?
While on this subject, why was Mitchell shooting our techs when Korver was on the floor?
Cause it makes him happy to score a **** ton of points, and Quin wants Mitchell happy.
Cause the only reason is Donovan is a stat chaser. He loves his stats. Your best shooter should take your free throws
