Mitchell's heart left this team a couple years ago. He had times he was clutch and played defense here too, but they were in his early years. Now are his early years in Cleveland. It's still honeymoon time. Time will tell if this is different for him. Mitchell is a special player for sure. I'm glad he's somewhere his heart can be in it, and we seem to have some guys who's heart is here.

Yeah…keep the guy who gave up for a full year of his $30 million a year contract and for an entire playoff series.(I mean he got pulled over and got given attitude by a cop….cry emoji……like the rest of us…plus he hates white people so cry for him)Really smart. You’re a moron, but everyone already knew that.

I think he just looked at our undersized roster, our weak bench and just gave up last season. Cleveland is much much better top to bottom than we were last year and at almost every position. He landed in the clover and is undoubtedly breathing a sigh of relief that he didn’t end up in New York.
 
Funny thing though.... according to ratings Cavs last year starters looked more dominant than this years.

2022-23 equivalents with Mitchell in place of Markkanen (the Levert lineup in the middle wasnt played last season with Markkanen)

They still let you post your garbage in here? Seems like I haven't missed much.

Don was tired of the team built around Rudy with Quin's limited ideas. We all knew that wasn't going anywhere - Don included.

We will never know if Don would have been happy and stayed with the team built around him with his buddy Hardy coaching. We will never know because we never tried it.
 
Regular season heroics are one thing, but let's see if the Cavs can make any real noise in the playoffs. That team is in win-now mode. Anything less than the conference finals would be a huge disappointment.

This wasn't a case of normal Cavs games though, with 2 key starters out injured. That is probably not going to change for the next month. They are staying status quo if Mitchell plays like Luka every game, but that is not likely. The Cavs are not a ECF contender this season, if they cannot lock in a top 4 seed. The dis would be injuries forcing them down into play in rankings and losing.
They might play spoiler and get to the ECF, if they are healthy enough for 5- 6. and yes Rubio still hasn't played either.
I give them a slim chance of holding onto the 4 spot, or better , for more than a week, with Don as the only dynamic offensive creator besides Levert. He cannot obviously do that level of performance again. He needs the dynamic scoring and playmaking of Garland, for them to maintain their standing. Mobley being hurt is a massive loss defensively as well. The only other possiblilty is them running offense through Love or getting Garland back sooner than later.

he does not hate white people. He just dislikes people of low character, and weak resolve, that choose to label him a racist, to mask their insecurity.

He doesn't have to be the guy that can go get 71 in CLE though normally. Maybe if Garland is out a long time sure this season wont end well. They like any other good team, need their players healthy to win, without him being a high usage scorer. But at the end of the day the reason CLE has a punchers chance this season is not him playing hero ball, its when he doesn't have to.

I would not be so sure.

Cavs are 8-0 without Garland this season with 41% 3PT shooting (4 away, including @Boston).. they are 16-14 with him with 35% 3PT shooting.

Its the 2021 Ja Morant thing all over again.
