He doesn't have to be the guy that can go get 71 in CLE though normally. Maybe if Garland is out a long time sure this season wont end well. They like any other good team, need their players healthy to win, without him being a high usage scorer. But at the end of the day the reason CLE has a punchers chance this season is not him playing hero ball, it’s when he doesn't have to.

Cavs are 8-0 without Garland this season with 41% 3PT shooting (4 away, including @Boston).. they are 16-14 with him with 35% 3PT shooting.

Its the 2021 Ja Morant thing all over again.

Garlands defense is an issue in those losses but there is no way Garland wasn't a huge part of the reason why they won the games they won with him playing either. They live and die with the defensive failures of a small backcourt though. I think they will use less Garland Mitchell combos once rubio returns or just inserting Levert or Okoro into the rotation sooner.

I believe he spoke for himself. Clearly he has to show how good of a dude he is for his PR campaign.....especially with his pandering just like he did here, there now. It's unfortunate he has to play in front of so many white people who buy his jerseys and shoes......such a damn tragedy. Imagine a white person saying "It's nice to be around people who look like me now" after playing in front of a bunch of people who weren't white for 5 years. It'd be racist then, and it's racist when his attitude is that no matter how hard you wanna twist and turn.

Oh and PS Don.....lotta white people in that crowd, and Ohio is gonna feel the same way about your political bend.
