What's new

Donovan Mitchell is pretty damn global at this point

I’m waiting for the pink Venom ones those are legit sick as ****.

Pretty sure he will sell the most of those ones. The lime green ones are sweet as well.

Also Donovan’s gesture (shoes urban kids can afford) is a noble one but naive. These kids want the hottest, expensive Nikes.

I'm happy for DM that he has his own shoe, but I wouldn't buy any of them with a 10' pole.

I think they're bad for what they are. I could buy a basketball shoe (I don't, not in that market) but the D.O.N. #1 would not be on my list in any colorway.

They don't look good and from what's been said they are one of the cheapest versions of adidas so that more people can afford them. So they aren't good.

I hope DM isn't contractually obligated to wear production versions of his shoe. I really really hope not.

They did a poll on Twitter who had the best debuting shoe Giannis or Don and Don won by a landslide. The red and blue ones aren’t even the best color-way either.

To each their own. Like I said, I'm not really in the market for basketball shoes, and I know many people buy basketball shoes to have basketball shoes. Not to wear when they go out. Not to play basketball in. Not to do anything in, just to have.

So if you buy these shoes to play basketball in, good for you. If you buy them to add to a collection of basketball shoes, awesome.

But if you buy these so that you can throw them on and go out to dinner, or to go back and forth from work, or go fishing, or go on a hike, or buy groceries, or whatever else we do 99% of the time we wear shoes... these are not a good choice for a lot of reasons.

And your the authority on that issue why? They need to be expensive enough, And $100 is still plenty $$ for the “urban kids”... smh

I think it lets folks buy more than 1 color way, and that’s kinda what he’s thinking. Instead of getting 1 LBJ, they can have DON 1s in a couple different colorways. It’s a business move worth exploring

Think they're only making them to a size 14 and I haven't seen them on sale here yet.
