He was voted 13th best, but has really come on with his hard work, willingness to learn and great attitude. I think he's top-5 now.

I remember my sister coming home from Chad's performance with a relatively well known local band in around 1983 and saying that he was going to be with a big band someday. Then Chad dated a friend of mine and they moved to LA in around 1986 and he got a tryout with the RHCP. I remember when my brother told me that his first check with the band, from the album Mother's Milk, was for $380,000.
