Donovan Mitchell tests positive for COVID-19

If we are scooby doo-ing this **** I know who dun it... it was TB... knew he was playing better than Rudy last game and knew if he got one start he could, with the support of DL, get the starting gig long-term. Of course he wore an Ed Davis mask when he was busted and those meddling kids figured it out.

Donovan also liked Clarkson and Royce’s tweets on it. Didn’t Rudy’s. Yeah there’s issues and I think there has been for a while tbh. Understandable why Don is upset, I don’t know everything, none of us do. But I find it hard to think we’re coming back from this with both guys on the team tbh.

It's possible they've been peripherally following this and only getting the panic and may believe that Rudy may have killed them.

Also, I will now never purchase Miye Oni's Cameo. I wasn't going to before, but now I never will.

Even if Rudy was "careless," everything else he did that was not joking, like being around them on the planes, buses, touching basketballs, did way more to expose them than him touching some backpacks in the locker room FFS. Let's not be stupid. Also, Donovan may be patient zero. What do you think about that, Jack?

Rudy's team. **** the rest.
With all due respect, f Rudy compared to Donovan. Without a shadow of a doubt, Donovan is the future of this franchise. Gobert is squarely in his prime yet we don't rely on him to win playoff games.

He's a great big man. He's Mutombo. Yay for Rudy, but this is Donovan's franchise unless for some stupid reason we isolate the most promising young player in the history of our franchise.

As for the dissension between them, I'm willing to bet teammates asked Rudy to be more careful around their lockers and belongings. In other words, "quit touching all my stuff. Dude stop." He was probably just messing around, but it turns out he was infected. If Donovan told Rudy to stop touching his stuff even joking around and then Donovan gets sick from it, I don't blame him for being pissed.

I agree if you have to chose you chose Donovan....BUT. Donovan also knew about the virus. Was giving out sweaty shooting sleeves. Saw him throw a sweaty jersey to someone in Detroit. Saw several pics of him with random fans around SLC. Saw him sign jerseys on the road and beyond. Like....Rudy got it somehow....and Donovan wasn’t exactly being completely careful himself.

True, but that not my point. If Rudy was being that annoying guy in the lockerroom touching everybody's stuff even though they asked him not to, that's different than a player doing normal player stuff.

We all have that friend that drinks off our drink or takes a bite of our food, etc. Now just imagine if you asked him not to, got pissed about it, then he ended up giving you the flu.

Rudy acted like a clown in public with the media. Just imagine how obnoxious he might have gotten messing around in the lockerroom.

I agree, and Donovan has a legitimate reason to be upset if that was the case, but Donovan wasn’t being precautionary himself really is all I’m saying. I recall him rapping his arms competed around Rudy when Rudy was mad at a call a couple games ago. Like....I side with Donovan, you chose Donovan if they can’t come back from this, but just context.

he might be upset now which is understandable But really Rudy just randomly touching stuff is hardly likely to be how he caught it if he did from Rudy. Overwhelmingly more likely from more direct contact. Once this all blows over i'd be pretty bummed if they can't sit down as men and discuss it and make up

It seems somewhat likely judging by responses on social media between guys, it’s likely Donovan who said it and it got fed to Woj whether intentionally or unintentionally. We’ll see what their relationship looks like going forward I guess. Right now it doesn’t feel great, especially after it didn’t look like they were too close before anyway and there may have been issues even prior to this.

They have like at least 2 weeks without much other things to do to talk about it. They both have it, so they could even discuss it face to face, right ?

*HIPAA. There are a lot of things that don't fall under HIPAA, so it doesn't apply to every healthcare scenario. But I don't know in terms of who's ordering the tests and such. Different too in a public health emergency.

I think it's a given, Captain Obvious that hippa is an acronym. I'm not gonna make posting something an ordeal.

But talking seriously, Don has enough of a reason to be mad. He discovered now that not only he has it, but also that he could be passing it to his family, close friends, etc (like, just remember Rudy had symptoms, Mitchell even were at the building for the OKC game). And on top of that, Rudy, even if could not know he had the virus, while also just doing some innocent joke, and being infectuous independent of doing such things, he were acting reckless, so Mitchell has something to be mad right now.
