Donovan should temporarily change his number in remembrance of George Floyd

A couple of thoughts.

Why in the hell are there no black characters in the Last Airbender? Seriously, why not??

Politics for some people are super important. Their loyalty to a political party runs very deep for many generations. There are talking points in the GOP against black lives matters that have existed for at least a decade. I don't believe these talking points, but they typically go like this: BLM is just a marxist front group who wants to upend the american system and really don't care about black lives but want to sow violence and choas. Or another point - all lives matters or blue lives matters. Are these points racist or are they just political paranioa? Maybe it is there are many people who are just blinded by their politics instead of being racist?

It’s almost like you don’t realize the social injustices that go on around you
Is it possible to be ignorant and an idiot?
Really surprised at this reaction and I am confused. What about my statement is ignorant?
Do you not believe civil rights are for everyone, or do you not believe that protecting the rights and dignities of a particular group is beneficial to all? Is it maybe that you don't believe we should be working to include all groups, even if they are not currently oppressed, to fight injustices?
Seriously... I don't get what is wrong with my statement. Did you possibly misunderstand?

It sounds like if you were a player, you'd get your *** kicked.
I 100% disagree. See the questions I asked Thee above and tell me what is wrong with my statement.
I think there is a good chance you are confusing what I said with an "all lives matter" statement. What I am saying is that everyone needs to be actively involved in the civil rights movement. It is not enough to simply not be racist, you need to be part of the solution. I am also saying that eliminating the social injustices faced by oppressed minorities is for the benefit of all. In other words, I as a white male would be better off if there was not discrimination against blacks (i.e., it is not something i should just ignore).

Did you just crawl out from under a rock? Or are you just oblivious to what’s going on around you?

Let's say that I am ignorant and oblivious, are you just going to throw stones and criticize? Or, are you going to engage in educative and productive conversation to actually make a difference? Just throwing stones at people who are ignorant does not make you part of the solution.

I think there is nothing wrong with what I said, that you and gandolfe just misunderstood. So, read back through what I wrote and my clarifying statements to you and gandolfe and then answer my questions. If you continue to have an issue with my stated beliefs, engage me in useful discussion (unless you are just interested in virtue signaling rather than making a difference).

I am sincere. Answer the questions.

If you still don’t get it at this point I’m not sure how to help you understand.

How about by answering my questions about why what I said was wrong!
As far as I am concerned your failure to try and explain your initial attack means that either: 1) you have realized you misunderstood my earlier statement and don't want to acknowledge and apologize, or 2) you do think I am ignorant but are more concerned with signaling your virtue and shaming mine than you are with actually being part of the solution.

How am I supposed to answer? You don’t want to see the problem in your statement. It’s all here all over jazzfanz. It’s a simple message.
