Donovan should temporarily change his number in remembrance of George Floyd

In support or Trump or not, I highly doubt that. All the far left people on here go there to spew like its facebook.

You see those posts and make an assumption that they are far left posters simply cause they dont like trump.

If you actually ask the posters if they are far left then you would probably learn something. Are you against learning something?

He should change it to 526, the total number of seconds. In for a penny, in for a pound.

He should change it to 19, the number of police gunned down in the line of duty last year.

Or to put it in simple terms, more than double that of black people during the same period by police.

Good statistic. Curious how many were at the hands of a black person, white person, or other.

How many of those people who shot police were let go free of charges? That's the difference and why people are upset. It's not the same thing at all.

1% of black people killed by police in the last 7 years were convicted of any charges. But the data is hard since there is still really no reporting system for it.

Also I'm not sure where you are getting your data from.

Here is the closest we have to decent data on this. Police have killed 598 people in 2020. At least 13 of those were unarmed black men but the number is likely higher due to not having a standard to report to nor any punishment for not reporting. That 13 number doesn't include people in police custody, people killed by off duty police, and people killed by non shooting deaths like the most current one being protested. Black people are 3x more likely to be killed by police and 1.3x more likely to be unarmed then white people.

Oh, that first link has the names and other information of every person killed my police in the last 7 years if you want to download it, all 8,264 people.

Oh, well in that case, how about changing his number to 25? That's the amount of people shot by blacks in Atlanta this past weekend.
That's not remotely the same thing and a false equivalence.

But sure, if there is some completely different unrelated issue he is passionate about he should address that if the NBA let's him.

Wait, did they not get shot and some die? Pretty sure its absolutely the same issue just not the narrative being imposed.

Division is the name of the game right now my friend and some people are taking it hook, line, and sinker.

How can people killed be convicted? Do you mean had any priors?

No, this isn't simply about people dying. That's an issue but a different topic. People who murder people should be attested and convicted. That is what the police attempt to do with murders. That's not what's happening within police though. They are allowed to abuse their position of power and get away with it. Police abuse their power against all sorts of people but they do it a lot more towards black people than white people. Police have murdered innocent people and protected by fellow police. That needs to change.
