Haha, I love stats. Not as much as much as the instinctual feel from watching the guys play, but too many ignore facts. Thanks for being bored, lol.

I just uploaded this, he goes for 10pts-9reb-6blk vs. Pacers.

Ah yes, Bismack Biyombo. The man whose ceiling is "occasionally being able to get some put back dunks on offense." Sorry if I sound old and cynical but when did it become acceptable for players to have such glaring holes in their game? Rondo can't shoot worth **** and can't hit a freethrow to save his life? Top 3 PG in the league according to many. Ben Wallace has the offensive game of a street light? Starts three ASGs in a row. What the **** happened to standards? Bare minimum? Nothing?

I'll take Kanter over Biyombo any day and twice on Sunday. Enes has the potential to be good on offense and good on defense. Biyombo has the potential to be amazing at defense and amazingly bad on offense. Great. Just what we need. A center to stand around on offense thinking "Oh, man. Don't pass me the ball. Don't pass me the ball. For the love of everything, don't pass me the ball."

I don't like the way he was ripping rebounds away from teammates. May be a bit of a stat whore. And did you see Big Baby trying to block Biyombo's dunk? That made my day.

Remember the days when 7'infinity" Shawn Bradley was put in to bother Karl Malone but camped out of the way behind the 3 point line on the other end of the floor? Malone still got his even though he had to work harder and was less efficient.

Hopefully we get to see some Biyombo vs. Kanter tonight. Kanter is probably the better player, but I can only imagine the unspeakable rejections that might take place against Kanter tonight.

Is this the game thread?

If Biyombo doesn't give you BBall-woodies, then you're gay

There isn't another young player that can change the game in the paint the way he can. I'm still amazed. He's way ahead of schedule.

Sheesh, can you imagine if Charlotte lands Anthony Davis and then is able to make a splash in the free-agency market (for true scorers). They might only need 85 points to win games. Davis-Biyombo... damn. Score against that.

Kanter and Biyombo are very different players. For the record I prefered Biyombo to Kanter. Kanter is probably a better fit next to Favors though.

Kanter is a significantly better rebounder than Biyombo because of his strength. Biyombo isn't a bad rebounder but Kanter is that good at rebounding.

Kanter moves well and D and plays good position defensive with his hands up. Kanter can use his strength to push post player out of their comfort zone. Biyombo is a very good to elite help defender. He is a decent post defender.

Biyombo has shown signs and has the tools to be an above average finisher at the rim. Kanter lack the length or explosiveness to be an elite finisher at the rim. Though has room to improve on this with smarter pump fakes and use of his body.

Kanter has a nice jumpshot and that will be a better weapon with practice and confidence. Biyombo is a very long ways from having a mid-range game.

Overall both prospects are similar overall talents. I guess it depends on taste or team-fit for which you prefer.

Biyombo is a better roll man in the pick and roll.

If they matchup head to head, I expect Kanter to move Biyombo out of the rebounding position consistently. I expect Biyombo to block Kanter's inside shots over and over again.

Basically Kanter looks like a superior offensive role player with his rebounding and mid-range game. They play different roles in a defense. Biyombo is a player with the skill set of Tyson Chandler. We could argue about what is more valuable or rare.

You don't understand that different positions have different roles? That perimeter players need to be able to play on the perimeter? That interior players don't HAVE to play on the perimeter? That a PG guards one guy generally, and that a C is responsible for the entire defensive set? Jesus ****ing Christ.

You got one thing right; Biyombo wouldn't make a very good point guard. Sold. A bright one, you are.

This is honestly one of the worst thoughts I've seen outside of HeavenHarris, greg2012, or Blues BEGONE this year.

So, because Biyombo doesn't have to play on the perimeter, it's okay that he doesn't have any offensive game and will likely never develop any? It's okay to have a guy who plays really well on one end but takes plays off on the other end? Kinda like Boozer or Big Al, only the ends are switched?

Yeah, I must be an idiot for wanting a center to be able to make a 12-15 foot jumper when called upon, or even have some post moves.

(Fourth from the left. We still have that glory mold to fill you know.)

Too bad it's not 1988 anymore. The defensive three second violation, the presence of a restricted area under the basket, and the tendency of officials to call any contact against athletic swingmen who drive into the lane would just about render prime Eaton useless right now.

This part was not necessary. Thoughts can turn me into a maniac, my apologies for turning. The majority stands.
