UGH!
They should have never paved outside Francis over to Hanna in 1996 and let you mountain maggots in to kill all my beautiful young deer.
Here's me only good huntin' picture this year. A good 8" bear print right there crossing franklin's tracks right after I hiked in.

Boulder.
It's pretty rare to come up on them, they're lucky. I've seen plenty of track in the Uintas but have only seen one bear from about 200 yards. Might have tried to get closer if it wasn't an archery hunt. I wouldn't plan on a broadhead @ 65 lbs doing much.
Well the people I went with have had a cabin at Hanna for 50+ years so GTFO 96'er.
Ask them if they've ever hunted Blind Steam out of Hanna/Tabby. It's full of the size of deer that make you shake when shooting but the road is so bad that I'd never drag my trailer up there and day trips are too rough on the kidneys. True story -- Last trip I was up there I shot an arrow through the horns of a thick, tall 30" 4x4 running straight up that steep shale 70 yards up, almost got a shot off at a 40" 6 by something, and saw a dozen cactus heads. Every one from the truck.
Big, big deer. Jakes High Country Archery guys hunted there.
