Embiid without even thinking about it. Heck if the Jazz didn't have Favors, Kanter and Gobert, I might take him over everyone. I still think the Jazz should look into trading Kanter/Burks or Kanter + a 2016 pick for another top pick. Yea I doubt people would do it but it would be awesome.

I am just hoping against all hope that GS pick provides a miracle. A draft of Wiggins/Parker + Embiid might go down in NBA history as the greatest single draft ever. Ok I am going myself worked up... a man can dream... can't he?

We're all praying Curry breaks his ankle, my friend. They're only two games ahead of the team 3rd from the bottom in the West.

I have some concerns about Randle. He has a good all-around game for a big--can handle, pass, face-up, etc. But as for paint game, I'm nervous because I saw some of the same post moves and physical dominance with Thomas Robinson, and it's just not happening in the league for TRob. Anthony Bennett had a lot of the face-up moves and explosiveness, and who knows what's going on with him. I could see Randle slipping to #5 or #6 unless he dominates in the tourney. He also needs to measure on the right side of 6'9".

I could see GMs going for a sure-fire floor leader like Smart, a sure-fire scorer like Parker, and a prototypical center like Embiid before Randle. Randle is a safe pick, but not a lock to be an All Star.

Would Embiid, Favors, Gobert give Jazz enough scoring though?
All seem to be centers.
None seem to be a stretch four that every team needs.

Favors is a PF in the mold of Brian Grant, Otis Thorpe and Antonio McDyess. Ideally, he plays next to a skilled, long center. I think both Favors and Embiid can become near 20-point scorers.

Regarding Embiid, I don't think he's as quick and crafty as Hakeem. But I see a Patrick Ewing level of physical talent. He needs to mature and needs more confidence. There are several types of shots he can get off clean anytime he wants. He just needs to develop those moves.

Embiid is intriguing but its a potential bet. I agree with some of the concerns about Randle too. I think Smart is the most sure fire stud.

I'm thinking pretty much the opposite of you. It will be interesting to see how it turns out

Because you are assuming too much and making way too many changes. Its way too much risk. And most importantly, trading Trey Burke for Ross is a terrible trade. And I like Ross. But Burke is more valuable.

Maybe I should have clarified that this is brain storming results. It's not meant to be accurate. I just tried to tinker a roster I'd really like w/o trade raping anyone which I think could contend. And unfortunately the depth at SF in the league is way smaller than the depth at PG. And so I considered the bigger overall value that Burke gives over Ross to be offset with a future first(somehow heavily protected prolly). But I simply like Dragic more. I've watche a lot of Phoenix lately cause I really wanted to know why they are so good with that roster. I also started liking Dragic in his first Rockets stint and this summer in Eurobasket he simply blew me off my seat. I also expect his game to age very well into his 30s even though he's very speedy and very strong in transition. He mixes this speed with amazing footwork and very good courtvision. I expect him to peak at age 30-32. Just my guess.
I'll try to get strong defensive SFs for all my rosters because the next decade you need someone who forces Durant, George and for the next 5 years LeBron into positions on the court where metrics suggest they're least efficient. And these guys are rare. That's why I want Stanley Johnson or Ross because both can give you that defensive SF and at the same time they are no offensive spacer killers like MKG, Mbah a Moute. And the other guys like Jimmy Butler are basically not for sale or too old like PJ Tucker and Iggy to fit a Jazz team. I really tried to think of all defensive minded/talented SFs that I would want and could get or might enter the league soon who can at least hit an open corner 3. I even wrote something about throwing money at Kawhi Leonard if you don't get one via trade.
Same with Hayward. You don't really need a 3rd string ballhandler, unless he's both carrying the bench and playing crunchtime with the starters. And Hayward is too expensive for that right now. So I want some player who can actually contribute to a championship under the current CBA in a small market. I mean if you're the LAkers, Boston, Chicago, Miami, Dallas and maybe soon Houston and Cleveland, then you don't give a fook about overpaying Hayward cause he's nice to have. But in Utah you really gotta utilize every $ of the players salary to win a chip.

Not sure what u may mean but I'm sure I agree.

In love with Embiid. Randle to be solid producer, but never elite. Smart may be solid, but not sold on him translating to NBA well. Pretty weak in half-court, not elite at any of the skills I look for in a pg (passing, dribbling, shooting). And I will be interested to see how accurate my speculation turns out to be.

Rashad Vaughn to be next MJ tbh

His performance last night might have something to do with it.

This move made me very encouraged he'll be more than just a force on the defensive end.

TBH this is a better move than I've ever seen Dwight make.

So what you are saying is that you are a closet Phoenix Suns fan. That is just great BTP.

Weren't you the first Smart homer? Like, a year ago?
The very first.

I started liking him when he was ranked 24th last year on DX. Then he flew up the draft board when someone read my posts about him. The evidence is somewhere around here. And then thats when PKM went off on my about how Smart sucks. PKM has always hated Smart.

Not sure what u may mean but I'm sure I agree.

Me and PKM are always thinking opposite. Like how I was always pimping Anthony Davis. And he wouldn't even trade for him because he thought he wasnt dat good.

I remember bro.

It's close between Embiid and Exum for me. Smart comes in third, I guess. Randle doesn't do much for me, and Gordon does nothing for me.

Agree on Embiid and Exum (I was first to bring both those names to the board, btw.. dick swag).

I see a big drop from top 4.
