Draft Prediction Time

Here's what I think the Jazz's priorities/options are:

1) Trade up for the #1 pick to take Wiggins. The asking price is high, and the question is whether the Jazz will offer enough to Cleveland to do the deal. The Jazz would offer #5, Favors, GSW #1 and #23. I don't think Alec Burks fits unless the Cavs are confident they can move Dion Waiters, but Alec Burks could be on the table.

1a) An expansion on the above is that the Jazz offer either Trey Burke or Alec Burks + #23 for #7 or #8, such that the Jazz can then offer Cleveland #5, Favors, #7 or #8 +#23.

Cleveland will take Wiggins regardless, and it will be a question whether the Jazz or anyone else can wrest Wiggins away from them during the draft. Personally, I think the chances are fairly low. I don't see how you pass up the chance to draft Wiggins if you're the Cavs.

2) If Orlando puts #4 on the market, the Jazz can offer #5 and #23. The Jazz would take Exum, and the Magic would take Smart or Vonleh.

If Exum is as wonderful as people are saying he is, then I don't think the Magic will do this.

3) The Jazz stay at #5 and draft Aaron Gordon, Noah Vonleh or Joel Embiid (2 of whom will be there). This is a tough decision, especially if Embiid is on the board. But assuming that for whatever reason Embiid is not on the board at #5, the Jazz are likely to choose Gordon. They taught Bryon Russell how to shoot. They'll try to do it again with Gordon and hope for the best.

4) The Jazz will ask themselves if they're happy with Trey Burke, and they might entertain the idea of trading Burke + 23 for another pick in the lottery to get a shooter. This could also become a component of a deal with Cleveland for #1. (See above.) The Jazz would have to believe strongly in the player they're targeting (assuming a deal with Cleveland doesn't go through). It might be worth it for McDermott if he's the next Chris Mullin.

5) The Jazz don't need 3 rookies this year and could try to package #23 and their 2nd round pick to move up to #18 or so. I think the target would be Dario Saric or possibly Kyle Anderson.

I think the Jazz are in Vegas mode so we'll probably see either the Embiid dice roll or them sacrificing little children live on ESPN to get Jabari.

Jazz will draft Embiid with #5. Trade it to the Lakers for #7 and a future 1st. With #7 the Jazz will take Marcus Smart and jazzfanz will burn the mother down!
#23 will be traded to the Knicks for a future 1st.
#35 will be used on Spencer Dinwiddle.

I could be way off-base but I feel as if the Jazz will stand pat.

#5 Noah Vonleh
#23 Jordan Clarkson
#35 Cleanthony Early (or Damien Inglis)

Jazz will stay at five draft Gordon, or if hes gone Randle or Vonleh. I think we'll not keep both picks 23 and 35 and try move late teens. With maybe bulls. Might buy a mid second round pick for a euro stash job

#5 Gonna stick to my gut and go with Vonleh, but Gordon made it interesting.
#23 Jordan Adams
#35 Inglis or Jokic

Jazz will stay at 5 and pick Gordon.

Jazz will move up from 23 (not sure how) to the early teens and get McBuckets.

Jazz trade back with the Hornets #5 for #9 and Ryan Anderson, draft Doug McDermott and we roll out with starting...

Burke
Hayward
McDermott
Anderson
Favors
