Dragan Bender

Was the 4th pick in the 2016 draft by the Suns and they let him walk to be picked up by the Bucks on a two year partially guaranteed deal. He just spent two games in the GLeague while putting up big time stats and has been recalled by the Bucks. This seems like the Jazz should have pounced on him this summer considering the peanuts he signed for. What is his story?

He ain’t good

We already got our Dragan Bender reclamation project in Mudiay. And in a couple years it'll be Ntilikina or Dennis Smith Jr. book it.

But the guy is 7 feet tall and apparently can rebound. Are the Suns scouts that bad? DedEx was only the 5th selection in his draft.

Can rebound? Where are you getting that? His career per 36 is 6.7. TR% 10.1 for his career.

About the only positive thing I can say about Bender is that his father's village is 3 miles from Bojan's father's village. Not sure we should be making personnel decision around that, though.

6.7 REB/36 is not a good stat for a 7-footer. That's about half of Rudy and Davis' numbers. O'Neale, Mitchell, and Mudiay are up at about the 5.5 REB/36 mark and they are officially in the 6'1-6'4" range. In fact, statistically he's not good at anything.
