DWill Anyone?

IMO we need more guys that are a little rough around the edges. even if he isn't the "mentoring" type, he would likely inspire some passion, and some pride, in some of the youth.

There was a time (not so long ago) that Utah was considered "hard-nosed", a team that would kick your *** or go down swinging. We cower far too often, and having someone besides Rudy with some grit would be a welcomed addition.

Pretty much every team said that the Jazz play super hard this year. They probably play harder than most jazz teams in the past because of their defensive style. I don't think there is a perception at all that the jazz cower to anyone outside of San Antonio.

Not disagreeing, but playing hard and playing tough are different things.

I will say that the Clippers game and a couple of other games like that were pretty embarrassing. They can chalk it up to inexperience, but if they play like that in the future, I will agree with you and say that they need some more toughness.

Depends on how much money he would want.

I would like d will as back up point guard for 10-12 million or so.

No interest because there's no way DWill would be content with being a backup. Yet.

Maybe in two years I could see this.

Why would he have to be a backup? Asking him to backup the kid would be insulting to him. Frankly it's best for Exum as well to be a backup.

Probably because Exum was one of the worst players in the league his rookie season by virtually every objective metric (WS, WS/48, PER, +/-, etc) and DWill was only average. Obviously DWill would have to back him up.

Sarcasm meter trending towards "10".

There is 0 chance that Dwill makes the WCF if Jerry retires earlier. 0

I love Jerry for what he gave this team for so many years, but this comment is pure Rhetoric. Utah went to the WCF because they were lucky enough to draw an 8 seed in the 2nd round, not because of some masterful coaching job by Jerry. At that point, I'd say Jerry was a good coach, certainly not great. Utah could have done worse, for sure, but to act like Jerry was the best coach on the planet at that time is disingenuous, at best.

Yes, I would like D-Will back. And I do think he'd be Ok with a support role, as I think even he realizes that his body can no longer take starter/first option minutes.
