What's new

Earl Watson is better at playing basketball than Devin Harris

I would honestly start Earl Watson at this point. I have never had anything against Harris before he came here and when I learned he was part of the trade I was stoked. Simply put he doesn't look like a leader on the court, a floor general or a "cagey vet" or any other cute veteran sayings out there. He's just the guy that brings the ball up the court.

lol you seem to have a need to upgrade your bbiq.

I was very vocal in my hopes that Harris would be re-routed right after we acquired him. Then, in the long off-season, I convinced myself he could work well with Hayward and Burks at the wings. I'll hold onto that hope, but he was ****ing pathetic last night. Nuff said.

If we are just talking about last night- there is no question Watson had a much better game. But let's give it a little time. If Harris doesn't improve his play, then Corbin needs to bench him.

HeavenHarris, please defend Devin's sideburns.

lol, thanks for that.

Seriously guys, just give it some time. We don't even know what offense we're running yet. Seems the coaches are still testing and tweaking.

Although, I did notice, after watching the Chris Paul highlights especially, how much better this team would be with a pass-first PG. Too bad Stockton's kid isn't as good as him. ;)

chitownjazz???

Bwah-hahaha, that's what I thought.
But anyways, commenting on the post.
I think both Devin Harris and Earl Watson will do good things on this team. Both players can learn a lot of things from each other, and I think they will do that.
Personally, I would love to see that run and gun line-up everyone once in awhile.... that used to feature Price and Watson.
Obviously this time featuring Harris and Watson, or hell maybe even Tinsley (if he turns out well).
This team does need a good scorer at the point to start games. Devin Harris will do that for you.... and once everybody starts clicking a little bit, you'll see his assists go up as well.
Watson will never be much of a scorer, but he can obviously run an offense well (not even close to elite).
Combining the two works well in my opinion. I would even put Harris at the SG position at times, like they did with Williams.
We'll also have to see what Josh Howard can bring to the table as well, because that will open things up for both players if he plays well.

Earl Watson gets blown by for the open lay-up, thank goodness it's a miss.....and Harris sinks the game clinching free throw, JAZZ WIN JAZZ WIN MVP MVP MVP.
