Early season stats after 4-0 start

Clarkson is down to 34% from the field and 20% from three. He doesn't do much else besides score so thats not good. 1.4 assists per game and 1.7 turnovers per game. 3 rebounds.

Niang had a great night tonight. 32 minutes, 18 points (6-12, 4-8, 2-2 shooting) in a win over the bulls.

Putting together a really good season so far

Niang was +16.9 last year and Paschall is only +1.4 this season...but the difference is coming when the main bench lineup is broken up.

Conley-Clarkson-Ingles-Paschall-Gobert is +19.9 which is even better than last year with Niang (+14.4). Really impressive considering how bad Clarkson has been.

The Jazz were killing it when Oni came into that lineup last year to replace Conley/Ingles. This year, not so much. The combination of Butler/Forrest/Oni filling in for Conley/Ingles has been disastrous.

Odd stats for the Jazz this year. Obviously we have the best record and are playing pretty well. We are scoring the 4th most points per game but not shooting very well or all that much. We are however shooting the 2nd most FTs in the NBA and making them at the 4th highest rate, which is crazy to me. We are also dead last in the NBA at assists per game.

Great start with the 2nd best offensive rating and 3rd best defensive rating. Thats the best net rating together. Oddly GS has the best defensive rating and Nuggets are 4th. We are also one of the top rebounding teams so far which is great to see. I think Rudy has a lot to do with that but the team is boxing out so much more and being aggressive. Now we just need to cut our turnovers, start shooting well again we are going to dominate this regular season.

The low assists and higher turnovers are my biggest concerns. We've had a lot of hero ball. Luckily it's been working. But it isn't really sustainable. But like tonight, once they start the blender, they are nearly unstoppable. Once we get the team moving the ball better we'll be dominant on a whole other level.
