I love the feel for this Jazz team. It's amazing what a new coach can do. The team is playing so much better. As far as Utah's chances of making the playoffs? *cue up Vince McMahons old theme music* No chance. The west is way too deep. Spurs, OKC, Clippers are all gonna be at the very top. Then you have to consider Portland, Houston, Golden State are all gonna try to improve from last season. Memphis is still a threat and Phoenix is gonna improve. Not to mention New Orleans, Dallas. Even the Lakers are gonna be better.
Jazz will be better than last and will turn some heads. But the West is crazy deep

I feel confident that we are better than Sacramento.

I'm not sure if we can get more wins than any other team in the west. Maybe Minnesota, maybe Denver.

I'm excited to watch Exum develop. I didn't have a problem with the way he played last night. It's sort of what I think we should all be expecting out of him right now.

Hell I was very happy with exum last night.
The two things I was most worried about were his outside shot and hood stamina.

I picked the jazz to win 37 games a few months ago.... I'm bumping that up to 41 games.

No playoffs though.

I will be super excited if we are in the playoff hunt come March though

I also picked them to win 37-38 a few months ago, and am holding strong on that prediction. If some things go wrong, it could be low 30's and I'll be disappointed. If some things go right, then I think low 40's and in the playoff hunt could happen... but things would have to fall just right (in terms of player development, etc.).

Before preseason I said 27 or 28(can't remember which). I didn't think quin would be able to implement his system this quickly. I'm really impressed. Having seen preseason I think we could win 32.

I have always thought that every sports league should just put the best teams in the playoffs regardless of division/conference.

A cool side effect of doing it that way would be possibly getting to see some of the biggest rivals in sports meet for a championship game.

Imagine a yankees vs redsox works series.

Chicago bears vs green bay packers in the superbowl.
Steelers vs bengals or ravens superbowl.

The way things are now, those games are impossible

Pacers/Bulls finals in the 90's.
Lakers/Spurs finals. Or even Lakers/Jazz finals back in the 90's.
Miami/Boston finals.

Could be interesting.
