Election Count Issues

Donald Trump, after talking to Bill Clinton, next went to the NYC headquarters of the CFR(Council of Foreign Relations) when preparing to announce his run for the Presidency. How do I know these things? People talk. People who actually know. A little even made it into the news, before the comics starting ripping on him.

I know the CFR very well.

Some who know less would boldly claim that Trump is "an outsider", and that explains all the rancor.

No, it's not that. It's his ideas, the whole MAGA thing.

His important opponents believe his policies will doom the world, the earth, mankind because his program is all wrong. It's an emergency operation to save us all that requires his second term to be ruthlessly denied.

But here, from the CFR's own publication, is an article basically outlining my concerns about how our corruption can hurt us.

The Strategies Are Foreign, but the Corruption Is American | Foreign Affairs

Damn, they won't let me paste the link. Google it, it's in the current issue.

your link posted just fine...

babe, just to make you possibly feel better, I got an infraction (well deserved, but worth it) for my post in response to you on the previous page.

The fact that you say incredibly stupid **** like "re-post Jason's handout talking points" is something you should honestly deal with in some sort of therapy. I know, pot/kettle or whatever, but if you actually think there's some universe where Jason is sending active posters "talking points" you're so far off the mark here and probably in life that you might be the next idiot raiding a pizza parlor looking for a sex trafficking ring.
I have no idea what Jason does. But with all the crap that's said about me, I have a virtual license to say anything.

FWIW, I'm not a serious poster in here. Well, not always. I thought that was a good joke.

Jason did ask me why I don't just buzz off, if I think the UN isn't a good thing in the world today.

The UN does not have elective offices. Countries send delegates to conferences who draft magnificent plans for everybody, and then they try to get countries to follow the plans. In reality, it's "fascist" in the strict sense of the Latin term, government determined entirely by "connections" between industry and politicians. That's what not having significant elections does,.

Hitler's hatred for the Jews centered perhaps on the Jewish bankers who sided with England in WWI, and made a deal about Palestine, and denied the Germans the funds they needed. I spent my childhood reading "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" by William Shirer, and every book on the extermination camps I could find.

We don't have that in the UN, but we have China doing some pretty huge campaigns that deny a lot of humans fundamental rights. We should not allow China to take the lead role on the world stage.

I don't think you can honestly deny that this forum is in some sense a recruitment and training operation with Left-wing cause(s). It could be entirely ad hoc. I think that Jason's occasional comments about the site would read more in that sense.

So far as that may be true, I'm an obvious irritation to the program.

But for me, the fun of this forum is the sporadic information that is fired back at me, which I consider sometimes worth the trouble.

I don't always come in here with good information that could be appreciated, but for me debate is a sort of sport. I am not ever going to be an ideological devotee to something that is not in active questioning.

So, thanks for putting up with me.

I think any sane person CAN honestly say this statement is more an indication about the mental health of the person posting it than it is about anything related to reality.

On a fun little side note, I'm listening to 1984. I've read it at least a few times and I've watched the movie at least once, but I'm really enjoying the narrated version. That said, it certainly reminds me FAR FAR more of Trump supporters than anything else I've ever seen in real life. "We are at war with Mitch McConnell, we've always been at war with Mitch McConnell." could be a line taken directly from the book. I'm certain you're familiar with the book but you might want to give it one more go and then take a look at Trump's cult and ask yourself some really ****ing hard questions, babe.

Clueless.

People with complex thought processes usually have more than one possible scenario in view. Anyone who doesn't is not really a grown-up.

In socialist societies, perhaps the most damning aspect is state-promoted propaganda backed up by a horde of snitches sniffing out deviants from the state line, and jack-booted thugs who carry people off to disappearance, and social media operations that otherize non-standard views.

I experienced some of that growing up in Mormonism. Because of Mormonism, Utah is actually one of the most socialist societies on earth. Today's Chinese leaders include a number who went to BYU. I wouldn't be surprised if China started calling their local compliance officers "Home Teachers". They already have institutionalized compliance on social media, almost as effectively as issuing Temple Recommends.

A few historical Mormon efforts at what they call the "United Order" were failures just like Soviet collectives and the Pilgrim's first communal farming.

Until a few years ago I thought China would become a real effective form of economic power.........

;until Xi moved back into Mao's headquarters and started writing his own little books of propaganda wisdom...... and started moving problematic folks out of the way, into prison camps or "re-education projects".

My real Marxist buddy used to tell me China and Russia are not "Communist" but "State Capitalist". Some right-wing sources view them as wholly-owned subsidiaries of international banking powers.

Religious bible-thump3ers see the last great world power in Revelations as obviously the way things are now.

In the midst of all this I find a practical man like Trump focused on making life better directly quite refreshing.

I don't think he poses an epistemological or existential threat to anyone. His main effect is to let us prosper whoever the hell we are or whatever we think.;

The DumpTrump bandwagon is creating a backlash that probably means an end to voter fraud and election trickery. In an age of block chain technology and ubiquitous camera and sound, and fully auditable computer records, there is absolutely no need for us to tolerate this kind of fraud.

I think Marxism is sbound for the dustbins of history as one of several major fallacious belief systems, and I think socialism is going to undergo a transformation that cuts the power of government actors to near zero.

Investigators who audited the signatures on more than 15,000 absentee ballot envelopes in one Georgia county found “no fraudulent absentee ballots,” according to the audit report.

"This audit disproves the only credible allegations the Trump campaign had against the strength of Georgia’s signature match processes,” Raffensperger, also a Republican, said in a news release Monday.

The investigators reviewed 15,118 absentee ballot envelopes from randomly selected boxes, about 10% of the total received in Cobb County for the November general election, according to the audit report. That sample size was chosen to “reach a 99% confidence level in the results.”

The Cobb County elections department had “a 99.99% accuracy rate in performing correct signature verification procedures,” the audit report says.

Of all the crap about trump that has pissed me off over the last 4 years his election fraud hoax is probably the one that pisses me off the most. What a piece of crap he is.

I got this book for my wife for Christmas and I highly recommend it to anyone not indoctrinated into the trumpism cult.
Very very good read.
It's a sequel and I hear the first book is very good as well.

Worse are his followers imo. We already knew he was a piece of **** so this is all just par for the course. But all those people supporting this are just unbelievable. Far worse than Trump himself, imo, because they should know better. But they go against their understanding of good vs evil and knowingly embrace the evil. I have friends I'll probably never be friends with again. Not because I'll shut them out but because they choose to separate the relationship through rabid promoting of Trump's lies. He has far and away been the most divisive "leader" in American history.
