Huh, I did not know that. Given how bad the Jazz are on defense you would think that the team can find a way to secure their best wing defender on a cheap multi-year contract instead of someone like Svi or Love. If Harkless learns to knock down open threes at the 35% clip he would be very playable and could become our new Royce O'Neal.

Like, why do we need Love?
 
This Harkless hype is ridiculously contrived. Now that Hansen Yang is having a dumpster fire of a season, I guess Cy had to get a new pet project?

Harkless is a G League player. You can find these undersized hustle guys from the scrap heap.

They can work on rosters that have scoring everywhere, but the Jazz don't need any more non-shooters to make things difficult for the couple of guys who can put the ball in the basket.

Ffeel free to be a dumbass. You aren't smart enough to be as critical as you try to be. You don't know ball.

Harkless can shoot it. Don't cite a small sample size nba career that hasn't had consistent minutes or role.

This feels extremely confident for a guy who shot 31% from three over five years in college.

His G-League numbers are OK, but no one defends at all in the G-League.

He's should play to see if he's an NBA player, but he's most likely going to be an offensive 0 guy who should be an 11th man.
 
Ya if harkless was a good offensive player combined with his amazing defense then wouldn't he be getting minutes and a nice contract on any number of teams?
Gotta be some flaw to his game that make teams value him so little. I'm guessing it's his offense though I don't know enough about him to be certain.

His only obvious flaw at the moment is he's on a 2-way contract so the Jazz feel like they can be the most patient with him.

Did he have any flaws before he got put on a 2 way contract?
