Did you see on Twitter that Tony Jones on his way-too-early predictions for the 2021 draft has targeted Chris Smith for the Jazz? (You were the one on the Smith train, weren't you?) Sounds good to me at this point, if he continues to make progress at UCLA.
 
There are other reasons from a basketball standpoint I don't like him but I would have to review some more video to remind me of why I didn't.

Time will tell and screaming after your shot is ok every once in a while but he does it too much. I am sure if it becomes an issue the guys will talk to him about it. I do not agree that he is not athletic enough. At least the film I saw showed more athleticism than I expected. He was getting by guys and showed good quickness and he was dunking on guys.

You're totally right. I got it pretty damn wrong. Those dunks, blocks and long threes were all nasty. He's got hops. I watched the wrong highlight video.

lacks explosiveness to completely beat his defender with dribble. relies heavily on tough jump shots in his opponent's face. reminds me a bit of Jayson Tatum except not as long.

Maybe, but uses his body and strength well when driving to the hoop. He’s could overwhelm quite a few of those smaller 2’s. Reminds me of Hood in that regard. I do think he’s more explosive than Hood, I hope. I’ve only seen highlights of course, but IMO he looks more athletic.

Reminds me of Rodney Hood too. Tougher, healthier Hood. Im good with the Jazz taking a chance on him. Footage impressed me as much as the one of several lottery guys.
