DX Twitter updates as of recent are talking about scouts not being blow away by Kanter, scouts aren't as impressed with fluidity or post moves as they thought they would be.

Some how i see a neg rep comming here for you from sepanol and i will in turn recieve one from colton for complaining about sepanol. The deal to me is that kanter is severely overrated. I dont like anything about him for the jazz. Irving, williams or knight woul be huge for this team.

Absolutely they have to consider that. From the Cav's perspective, what's a better draft:

A) Irving & Vesely/Leonard/Biyombo/Valanciunas/whoever

or

B) Kanter & Knight?

While I would probably go with option A, you've got to think the Cavs will need to look long and hard at option B.

It's a bit unprecedented, but could happen especially with Irving skipping the athletic tests.

Do you think Irving is worth the #3 pick? And if so, how is he better than Knight? They have nearly identical stats, and Knight is younger, bigger, and did it against much, much better competition and over 38 games instead of 11. How can some say Kantor is overrated because he hasn't played and then say Irving is leaps and bounds better than Knight.

I'm not saying you should love Knight, but if you don't love Knight, I don't see how you can love Irving.

Where in my post did I mention Irving? I'm confused as to why you're talking about irving.

You were talking about drafting a pg with the #3 pick and how Knight would be a bad choice. I want to know if you think Irving is worth the #3 pick, and if you do, what makes him worth the #3 pick and not Knight?

If you look at Knight's stats compared to Irving's, they are almost identical, except for shooting percentages, but remember, Irving achieved those amazing percentages against a much, much weaker schedule and only in 11 games. Knight put up Irving numbers over 38 games, better competition, etc.

My point is, don't overestimate Irving and don't underestimate Knight.

The gap is ****ing huge, dude. And don't try to pretend efficiency doesn't matter.

If he isn't as athletic as Rose or Westbrook then he certainly isn't worth the #3 pick in my book.

Rose is a franchise player. #3 players are franchise guys. Not Raymond Felton. Which is who Knight reminds me a lot of. Not very athletic, but good enough. Not a great shooter, but good enough. Not nearly the ball handler or passer that Dwill, CP3, Kidd, or Nash are.

People are now talking about him being Jason Terry... And saying that Jason Terry on our team would be a great thing.

I agree. jason terry would be awesome.

But not at #3 folks. I guess this is the point that most pro-Knight people seem to miss.

We're picking #3. And even in a terrible draft, you don't waste a #3 pick on Jason Terry.

Assuming the Jazz stay at 3 and neither Williams nor Irving fall, who is supposed to be worth the 3rd pick? There is no consensus anywhere about that. You act as if you know something no one else does, so let us in on the secret. Who is the franchise player at #3 that you'd pick?

Efficiency, efficiency, efficiency, true position, efficiency, efficiency, adjusting for time Irving was significantly more productive, efficiency, and Irving could've even improved his numbers as the year went on. And efficiency.

And I like Knight. The difference in what they did with the opportunities provided (minutes and possessions) is VAST. Knight might even be the better player, sure, but there's a reason Irving's the consensus #1 and Knight is floating around #3-#6.

From what I've seen from comparisons Knight could be a Russell Westbrook type and Kanter could be a Zach Randolph type player. Let's say they both reach that potential. who would you rather have: Westbrook or Randolph?
