The jazz MUST take Smart with the 5th pick. There is NOT going to be anyone better than him at the 5th spot that can turn us around. We DO NOT need another PF/C, it doesn't matter who who it is.

Smart would be an upgrade at the PG because he can overpower his matchup. Plus, it's a big upgrade on defense. I could see the Jazz going this direction if they don't take Vonleh.
 
Drafting Smart makes me throw up in my mouth. He is the next Quinn Buckner. He has a broken jump shot and I don't think he will ever shoot above 40%. Smart could bully guards in college, not so much in the pros. I know the Jazz are far from having a complete team, but I just can't see them throwing Trey to the side and draft a potential starter. I'm willing to bet we drop down in the draft and get someone like Nik Stauskas or McDermott.

Let's hope 4 GM's ahead of us fall for a couple examples of isolated plays set to the Draftexpress background music, so he falls to us.

If only they were bad at their jobs.
