I dont think it would take decades. We came to a consensus with "regular" marriage laws. We should b able to do the same to treat everyone equally.

Nobody is arguing that climate change doesn't happen naturally over millions and millions of year. The reason the concept of climate change is so harrowing to us observers of statistics and recognized facts, is that climate change has occurred well beyond the standard deviation over the last 50 years.
