Thank heavens for that. At least the NBA uses a playoff system to determine its champion and doesn't have to rely upon the court of public opinion unlike some other unnamed popular sports entity.

Jazz never get love. They are almost always in the playoffs and they have one bad year (really more like 1/2 a year) and people write them off completely. Well guess what, the Jazz are right back in the playoff hunt.

Minesotta has better road record and better conference record then us, maybe thats why?

Personally, I think that the Jazz were intentionally struggling the second half of last year because they wanted to get another lottery pick. This turned out to be a genius move because it landed us a high pick in Enes Kanter than we would have not got without that second lottery pick (that became Alec Burks). If a team has two lottery picks, it increases their chances at landing a top 3 pick. Look at the two teams that moved into the top 3 of last year's draft (Cleveland and Utah). Both of them had two lottery picks. Had we made the playoffs last year, we likely would have lost in the first round and only ended up with one lottery pick. We also would have been less likely to have landed the #3 pick that got us Enes Kanter. In reality, the Jazz are now BETTER off because they DIDN'T make the playoffs last year.

I hope this pisses the Jazz off, Millsap plays better when he's mad. "In reality, the Jazz are now BETTER off because they DIDN'T make the playoffs last year."....would u agree that they should the playoffs this year though?

Maybe not should but I think they will be. I would not be suprised to see them pull off a round 1 upset either (depending on matchup).

So 8 teams ranked ahead of the Jazz have worse records, including 2 below .500.

Yeah, sounds reasonable.

Your understanding of how mathematics works is only off by about a million miles. Nice try.
