Evaluate young (potential) Jazz players

Quickley is definitely underrated. You should never read numbers like gospel, but when something is so overwhelming It means something. I’m not going to die in a hill saying he’s a better prospect than Barrett or Herro, but I think it will be very interesting to see how people view these three once they are all playing 30+ minutes. I think Quickley is very much in the same conversation as those guys and it wouldn’t surprise me if they were ranked in any order next year. Quickley also has the advantage of an additional year left on his rookie deal.

Canada beat Argentina in FIBA basketball. Neither Jazz player lit it up. NAW had 8 points 4 boards in 10 minutes of PT. He bizarrely fouled out in the third quarter. He was 3-6 shooting. Bolmaro had 5 points 4 boards in 29 minutes of PT and did not shoot as well as NAW.

Has Jarrett Culver been that bad and hopeless? Dude is 23 and was a defensive stud coming out iirc. Why not sign the guy?

From the brief highlights/twitter discussion I've seen, Bolmaro was the lead defender of SGA. Apparently did decent at that. But SGA's a stud so he ended up sinking Argentina anyway.

This has got to be Bolmaro's biggest highlight:

Yes, apparently he's been that bad. Hard to stay that long in the league when you can't make half your FTs as a SG. Terrible shooting, but takes shots at nearly league-average clip. Hard to contribute to winning that way.

But yeah, he could join the club of can't-shoot-straight 6-4 - 6-6 types we're assembling here. But Google says likely he's headed to Raptors on a camp deal. Maybe we could take a chance on him after the Raptors cut him if we still have a slot available.
