Exit Interviews

DL setting up his narrative of “we added a great perimeter defender in Miye Oni” at exit interviews is like something we’d totally suggest tongue in cheek... it’s an instant classic... lazy, sloppy, no balls... confirmed.

Here’s the other thing... really good projects show you something almost immediately... like some flashes. None of our projects have shown anything worth much. To find the good projects ya gotta churn a bit and have a chance at some upside... a rational person sees Oni as a Torrey Craig type... maybe... but actual Torrey Craig is there and available for free. So don’t worry if a guy like Oni isn’t clicking... he can walk with no worries imo. You can keep him around but get Craig too.
Why get Craig and have him get in the way of developing the next Craig?

Also we can give Craig the full mini MLE this year to overcompensate for the thing we shoulda added two years ago!

How much impact does DWade really have here? At least when it comes to hiring and firing
It doesn’t matter. It’s that you have someone in the room with the status and experience to say “this doesn’t make sense.”

Also, I am not the world's biggest Donovan Mitchell fan, but what he did in these playoffs was all-time heroism and it is tragic that this is how it ended. Heartbreaking. I am seriously so sad for the Jazz, but especially for Donovan. His performances these last few games are historic, and he did it on fumes, one leg, and an entire team's worth of heart.

He deserves and deserved better than what he got when it mattered most and he sure as **** knows that.
Yknow, I'd be a little hesitant to straight up say the FO needs to be cleared out. Some of the weak tea limp noodle responses from DL and Zanik were pushing me that way.

But thinking of how much we wasted DM's epic performance made my blood boil. Time to clear house. They all need to be shown the door.

I always crack up when Jazz fanz start bashing guys who might leave even before they have left. It is like they expect their girlfriend to break up so they start trashing her. Free agency is part of the system. You cannot blame a guy who is a free agent for listening to offers or do what is best for him and his families. Geez everyone on this board would try to do what is best for themselves and family. Owners are doing what is best for them. They cut and trade players with little concern how it affects the player but then you expect the player to be all loyal even when the owners are not always loyal.

The other funny thing is every one on this board at sometime either criticized a player or made up some trade so fans are not loyal to the players but they want the players to be loyal to the team and fans. Come on you cannot have it both ways without being a hypocrite.

It can't be all bad. But how about an autopsy on who ultimately was in a position and green-lighted drafting a skill-less center AND signing Favors? Who ran the cap math on the Rayjon Tucker trade and biffed it like they cheated their way through Math 1010 (probably some nepotism hire is my guess)? Who green-lighted trading the Jazz's last nickel for that total ****ing bum Matt Thomas? Does the braintrust of 10 GM's work in shifts, cuz who was on shift when Torrey Craig went for ****ing nothing?

Maybe it does all need to be cleared out. But only two heads of the ****-hydra signed off on all of those moves; ownership (who are gone now) and Dennis ****ing Lindsey.

I want someone's head for this ****.

This. Niang is the perfect example of those development projects that takes the longest time to give us the smallest return.

It took Mann half amount of time to score 39 in a playoff game. Player development is a good concept but in any professional sports it always comes down to the player himself. It's either you are that guy or you are not.

That is the most obvious, *********** preemptive excuse making I have ever seen. He knows they won't accomplish a damn thing in the offseason and already wants an out.

Zanik isn't wrong. Austin rivers was a two way player for the Nuggets and he played a major role in that Portland series. But talking is one thing, action is another. Where is our own "Austin rivers" when we needed them?

It’s just like going down to the local restaurant and buying an already perfectly prepared lasagna for $20 when you can kill three hours and $35 in materials and make a mediocre one yourself... don’t skip steps ya know.
