Exum Finishes 4th In ESPN ROY Forecast

I think you have provided some nice coverage and probably can speak to Dantes peformance better than most here, but what were his minutes per half? If I recall seesm like they benched Dante for the Vets in the second half, right?

With the exception of the last game(which I didn't watch, just followed the boxscore, and in which he had less minutes towards the end), I think his minutes were relatively evenly distributed. He's played about 81.5 minutes in the 4 games so far. He usually starts for about 6 minutes then he's given rest for the remaining of the first quarter and he doesn't start the second one either. He usually gets in at about 5 mins of the second quarter. Then he starts the second half and plays for about 5 minutes and is then rested on the bench and depending on how his play is going, he gets about 4-5 minutes in the last quarter as well. I don't have the exact numbers, but if I had to guess I'd say he's playing about 11-12 minutes in first half and about 8.5-9.5 in the second.

I don't think Gibson is better than him for sure and I don't think Dellavedova is in general better either, but his level drops towards the end and I think that's why he gets less minutes towards the end of games.

All this thinking and guessing ,you don't know do you.........I'll put my thinking in here and say I think they put their vets in there at the end and lost, had nothing to do with Exum's conditioning.

There's probably about 5 more exhibition games before the Fiba ,then we'll see how the Aussies play, who will they count on when they want to play for a medal.

Burke will probably get around 30 mpg this year, that leaves 18 for Dante as the PG ball in hand, and he can probably survive off the ball for another 6. You can never have enough passing, wide open jumpers = cash money for NBA players.

Those bleacher report articles looked really concerning. Almost like the jazz have no idea that exum might be better than Burke, despite being drafted four spots ahead of him in what was widely considered a draft that was head and shoulders above burke's draft. Thanks bleacher report, you never cease to give unbiased reports, covering the cold hard facts of the nba.

Or perhaps SL was an experiment designed to just give Trey and Dante as much PT as possible. Jazz didn't exactly have quality SG's during SL. Of course they're going to struggle a bit as Exum has not played off guard. The two PG line-up is not unique. Phoenix does it; Sloan even did it with Deron/Fisher and then Deron/Maynor. If the Jazz play up-tempo with a lot of ball movement, I doubt any player will average more than 30 mins. That means Exum gets 18 at PG and maybe 6 at SG initially until he shows he can play 30 mins without grabbing the bottom of his shorts. Here's what I see happening at the 1-2-3 in terms of mins. (144 total)

Hayward, Burks, Burke - 30 mins each = 90 mins
Hood, Exum - 20 min each = 40 mins
Clark, Felix - 14 combined. Likely will alternate being inactive for games.

Cut Burke down to 28 and you could play Exum 20...all at PG.

All is guessing and thinking, and don't pretend like you are doing anything different than me, unless you are a part of the Australian national team staff and have some inside knowledge about their decision making. At least I support my thinking and guessing with numbers, while you throw temper tantrums, whenever somebody disagrees with you.
