Exum in SL?

He is 20 years old and missed most of his second season. He does need to be on the SL getting reps and practice in under the Jazz coaches eyes... Crazy some of you ready to anoint a 20 year old who came in as a combo guard and just miss a season and ready to give him a starting pg job, Insane I tell you.

He didn't waste that pick for Hill to come off the bench. Sometimes throwing a player who isn't ready into the fire can really backfire on you and ruin a players career.

I totally agree with you. Exum needs as much playing time as he can get for his development, since at his tender age he is still a subpar starter in the league. That being said, I think both Exum and the Jazz are just being extra carefull with his injury and thinking long term.
 
The heat are playing Winslow and Richardson
Indy has Joe Young playing
Detroit has Stanley Johnsonplaying
Denver has Mudiay and Harris playing

If all those guys can play in the SL no reason Exum should not be out on cort. Three of those teams were playoff teams and those are some players hwo have logged major minutes. Heck Mudiay ran the point all year and is still going to SL, No reason Exum shouldn't be out getting reps seeing how he is much more of a raw prospect then thosementioned.

Exum never came in as a combo guard.He's a PG and that's where is future is if the Jazz are going to win.Exum being a PG is where he has a chance to be special.

I for one am not a big believer that the Jazz are going to be big winners with GHill .The Indianan Pacers are only one game over .500 the last two years with GHill as their starting PG ,now he's someone special.
The Jazz were already going to win just from Gobert,Favors ,Burks and Exum all getting healthy.

Ya it's impressive that stanley Johnson, justice Winslow, mudiay, Harris, Joe young, and Richardson are all playing so soon after recovering from blowing their acl's last season.
 
No because playing Exum AND Lyles in summer league is unfair, and the Summer League has no capacity to provide safe spaces to opposing players.
 
He came in as a combo guard. That is different then what your trying to say. You are trying to say Jazz said he a pg since he came in.. He was a combo guard overseas. Its not a knock on him at all... A lot of guys are coming in as combo guards.

The injury excuse is laughable..
That sa reason he should be playing, Getting reps. He is recovered now correct? Its been a long time. This wasn't an injury he got 4 months ago. It was a while. Id want him playing in Olympics or sumemrleague... Practice makes perfect and playing and leading a team is important. I think its funny some thin k a 20 year Exum who missed a whole season Is going just rock the nba. He is young. Takes time. Needs the reps. Lame excuse
