They might not want to pay Shröder in 2 years (ala OKC and Reggie Jackson). So getting x2 firsts might be enough to pry him away.

I know they love DS. I also know they have Jeff Teague.
 
It doesn't matter that Dante was on the bench or could walk off the court. Rondo played 12 minutes on his torn ACL a couple years ago and participated in morning shootaround before doctors evaluated him and saw he had torn his ACL. NFL players have finished out games with torn ACLs as well.

The noncontact hopstep reminded me of this. From the angle, it doesn't look like his knees tracked over his toes, but inward.

Both Ingles and Gobert have tweeted out support. If I was Trey Burke, I would have made sure I was the first person to express concern. EDIT: Nevermind, forgot he's in Africa. Probably sleeping.
 
DL needs to take a page out of Sam Presti's book and his continued refusal to let Steven Adams play for the Tall Blacks. Mark Cuban has been vocal about this in the past as well with Dirk.


Personally I think it's OK to let them play as long as they're already established stars and know how to handle themselves on the court. Exum by all accounts is still learning the game and I just think is too inexperienced to let loose on the International scene.

I'm sorry to say it, but to me it looks like the injury Rose had. It's pretty much the same exact motion... it's a hopstep in the paint from the side and on the jump the knee gives out. It even looked worse with Dante than it did with Rose.
 
On the plus side, should we lose our starting point guard, we'll now have a star for the next national Gatorade campaign.

It's an extremely common move in basketball. If it's a torn ACL, then it must have been at the verge of rupture beforehand. Any subsequent play that will push the ligament beyond the threshold will likely have been a common motion in basketball, and the movement itself will have been incidental.
