Exum Injured

I think you guys might be exaggerating the importance of Dante. He has great future potential, but currently, his ****ty offense is cancelled out by his good defense, so his effect is in the end neutral. Listening to some of you, you'd think Dante had been carrying the team.

I do not agree. Dante was a neutral on offense and positive on defense, overall positive. Let's not pretend he was doing damage to the team offensively. He understood his limitations and played within them. Losing Dante wouldn't be a huge deal if we had a good offensive pg to replace him with. Replacing him with Burke could definitely be ugly.

Dante sucked on offense.
He did nothing. Doing nothing = hurting the offense.

Tony allen hurts memphis offense.

The difference between him and Trey is the ball moved when Dante was on the court. He didn't create much but he sure as heck didn't suffocate the team offensively like Burke does.

How can someone whom opposing defense doesn't close out on, worry about him driving, and pretty much completely ignore, be a neutral on offense? How can anyone possibly be a negative in your view?

defense is our identity and dante played huge part of that role. his length bothered lots of pgs. I hope opposing pgs don't burn us next year...

this is horrible news. Based on the vines, you'd have to think something else was at play. Someone's job should be in question. Was anyone from our medical travelling with the Boomers?

Trey and Bryce aren't going to cut it defensively. If Dante is out the season, Neto could be our starter come January, if he learns to shoot a little bit.

This.

Neto is a pretty good defender, though. He doesn't have the length, but he's got the speed and nasty.

Even if it's an ACL, they need to determine the severity. A good friend of mine has a son who was one of the top WRs in the state last year until he hurt his knee. Torn ACL/MCL. They went in to see how severe it was and found that the ACL was only partially torn. I'm not clear on the details, but they didn't do a full reconstruction. It was supposed to increase his recovery time - that was October, and he's almost completely back to full activity.

Hopefully the MRI gives Dante and the Jazz good news.

Is a partial tear worse than a full-out one?
