Exum to the Olympics

This terrifies me but I realize it's for the best. Hopefully he gets his sea legs under him there, and we can see a noticeably better player in October so that when the season starts, we can't contain ourselves.

If Exum is still rusty after SLC and Vegas summer leagues, as well as training camp, I'm more than fine letting him find his sea legs during the first quarter of an 82 game season. Not too happy the Jazz signed off on this.

DL isn't his dad and Exum can make his own choices. Its not in FO best interest to upset players.

I wonder how big of a role he would even play. From the national games I have watched of him doesn't play with the ball much and in turn doesn't really do much or perform all that well.
 
I'm in the camp that supports his playing. It'll speed up the process of being in game shape for the season.

Never said he was his dad. He is however his boss, and it wouldn't exactly be groundbreaking for a GM/Orginization to discourage a player from playing for their international team.
 
It would be exceedingly painful as a Jazz fan if he were to get hurt and miss all or most of another season as a result of this, but if he is medically cleared I think it really is the best decision for him to play. It would be nice if the Jazz were allowed to have some input into how he's used. I hope that at the very least they have a staff member on site to monitor the situation.
