Exum Update

Hmmm. Numberica and Naos , maybe MT Steve? To be fair though I think those guys want him to succeed, they are just very pessimistic about him

Numberica .. yes put him on. I think the other two have been pretty fair in their assessments

I’m more thinking of the dudes who’ve been excessively hating to the point that they’re happy if he sucks

Name 10 rookies as good as Mitchell in the last 5 years? People will say KAT, Giannis, Gobert, CJ McCollum, Oladipo, Jokic, Embiid, Booker, Jamal Murray, Simmons?
Few of these were as good as Mitchell their rookie years. Giannis wasn't as a 19yo rookie (7ppg @ 41% in 24 mpg). McCollum wasn't (5 ppg @ 41%). Booker and Oladipo both scored 14 ppg but at 42% shooting. Murray averaged 10 ppg @ 40%. Rudy's rookie season (under Ty) included D-league stints and minimal court-time, but even in his soph year (Quin's first), he only averaged 8.4p/9.5r/2.3b.

Jokic only averaged 10p/7r/2a and was All-Rookie.

KAT averaged 18p/10r/1.7b and was ROY. Embiid's 20p/8r/2.5b was All-Rookie. And these aren't even the guys that Mitchell's rookie season is being compared to right now...

Data-driven analysis that is approached as sensibly and objectively as I can, but definitely want him to succeed.

You totally nailed this post.

But you know what is crazy - I was kind of thinking of Mitchell versus those players today (not their rookie seasons). Just amazing how good he has been.

Good to see Dante doing stuff.

The question is, will fans out there, and here on this forum, give him leeway and be understanding with him if he doesn't hit the ground running?
I hate to tell you this. But the GM and management of the Jazz don't give a crap what the fans out there or on here think. I am pretty sure they base their opinions from more credible sources. Hate to break your heart, but I'll get over it.

You might want to give this pep talk to Donovan Mitchell then. Ask him how Rodney is, also.

You nailed it on the head. The Jazz own the media. That is a lot of why they are so terrible. The other problem is, the media is vastly underpaid and none of them have dreams of moving up, so you have a lot of lazy, poor employees. The Zone is the perfect example of this.

That being said, Lynn Worthy is great. KSL has some good ones. But a lot are just terrible.
Name names. Who are all these lazy, poor employees/media? And you seriously believe that the Jazz own all of the media?
