Let him sign the qualifying offer. He has yet to show any consistency, is prone to injury, has terrible hair and probably doesn't shower a lot. Also he frightens children, he doesn't use deodorant, he never learned to read....

Was he the actual point guard?
We know for a fact that no offense was drawn up to run through him.
He deferred out of respect and also cause he knew he would be yanked if he took a misstep.

Ya, they should've given some scrub the keys to the team. They should've run the offense thru his 5 ppg ***, and then insisted he chuck 20 shots he isn't interested in taking. **** Hayward and Gobert. The team, no, our lives, must revolve solely around your homeboi scrub.

First Jazz rookie to record 5 20+point games in first 3 weeks of his career. You understand that even our All stars Malone, Stockton, Hornacek, D.Williams, Boozer, AK47, Okur, Hayward and Millsap never achieved anything even close to that?

He's only been one of the top rookies after the first two weeks. This is coming from one of the biggest Exum homers here on jazzfanz. To say he hasn't gotten a fair shake tells me one of three things.

1. U don't watch games.

2. You aren't a jazz fan, just an Exum fan.

3. Both 1, and 2 apply to u

Is DM an inefficient score. Yes, but he's a rookie as a 13th pick, and if Exum had shot as much as DM, he would've been an even more inefficient player. Face it, Exum wasn't running the offense because he didn't have the ability to drive and score and shoot with any volume at all. It sucks that he got hurt because he showed some skills and things we've never seen him do before. I know I was excited to see him play.

I like his demeanor. I like his raw tools. I love his speed. I see the potential to get to the free throw line - the most important offensive asset.

I like his vision, the passes he attempts. The chemistry he tries to build on court with teammates. I like the fact he deferred when the time was right.

I see the lateral movement and length on defense.

I like that he was a project.

I like that the Jazz took the punt on him.

Just to clarify though, it is not just Aussie players I like. My league pass is set to catch most Knicks games (Porzingis), Celts (Irving), Warriors (Curry), 76ers (Embiid/Simmons), Clippers (Blake) etc.

Also, of the Aussie players you mentioned (and didn't mention), Exum from my perspective has a higher ceiling than all but Simmons.

I like the Jazz, and hope they are successful - with or without Aussies.

What did he do to earn the right to put up those shots?
Why is it good to be inefficient?
Although he is 35th among SG for RPM, he is below replacement level. So, him getting those numbers doesn't mean he is a net player.

But but .... potential.

See, this blog is prepared to use that word with some players they like. E.g.guys who score - albeit inefficiently.

Hell, I thought this year was a right off anyway, so I am being a bit contrarian I guess. Good for him to get the reps etc.
