Exum's defence on Harden

He blew by Exum later on that game. Was probably just trying to get a read on Exum's aggressiveness and if he could draw an easy foul on the 3 from him.

If the Jazz can't slow Harden down from his game 1 performance the Jazz could play offense to the best of their ability and they'll still lose. Slowing down Harden and Paul is the key to this series going forward.
I don't agree one bit. Rudy had his first field goal attempt on put back in the middle of 4th quarter. That is plain unacceptable and I hope Quin will figure it out how to get Rudy involved in offence. Ingles was bad, Donovan was below his average, Favors was just a shadow of himself. We only lost by 14 while Rudy and Favors were a non factors. Get them both closer to their season averages and we have close game. Get Ingles and Donovan hitting few open 3's and we are winning it.

But did we lose because of the offense or defense? I doubt we can beat Houston by limiting them below 90 pts... had we made our free throws, open 3's and tons of layups we would have had close game. I am all for giving Exum a chance to prove himself but with him we are playing 4 on 5 on offense and that vs Houston just won't cut it.

Thats a ******** argument when Oneal is the alternative!

The Jazz were down by almost 30. If you don't think Houston let off the gas a little bit your crazy. Make all those changes you want and if Harden has a game like that the Jazz will lose. This Jazz team is not going to beat the Rockets in a shoot out. They need to ugly the game up and play some defense to have any chance.

I'd probably start Dante this next game, along with Crowder. I do think that Dante is potentially our best Harden defender. I also like the idea of Royce coming off the bench with Favs to bring some energy.

O'Neale played the best defense on Harden not during one possession but all time he was on him. Plus he plays within offence and runs the plays unlike Exum who looks confused and keeps pounding the ball. So yes, O'Neale is much better option than Exum - and Snyder and coaching staff knows it very well, that's why he was playing.

If Harden scores his 41 but you stop their roles players from hitting 3's left and right we have a decent chance. Tucker making 3 3's hurts us as badly.
