Favorite Bands to Listen to?

Avenged Sevenfold is the best band alive right now. I like maybe two death metal songs outside of them too.

Hurt is a must hear for Tool fans. They are little known. I first heard of them from a random at Walmart. It's high quality, but for some reason I thought I had purchased a garage band on the first time through and put it down for at least a month. Second go was ok. Third listen hooked me. Someday J. Loren will blow up huge. I wonder if anyone will stick with him long enough to enjoy the success. He's lost band positions multiple times.

I've promoted J. Loren before, but here it is anyway. It's best loud just like all intricate music.

I'm liking what I'm hearing out of Volbeat. Darby on 94.9 described them as a cross between Elvis and Old School Metallica. I think that fits. They did one hell of a cover of "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry"

And then you posted your 'favorite albums' post and invalidated anything/everything you have said and/or will say from here on out.

part of how I get PAID is writing about, contextualizing, and critiquing music. But, I'm sure you still feel comfortable with what you said.

By contrast, I would feel uncomfortable ****-talking to you about how to sell insurance or how to be a head-to-toe stereotype. I leave that to you, brough. Thanks for doing the dirty work.

They remind me of a new age Elvis too. I like the song Still Counting a lot, but outside that they aren't for me. I try to get into them every 3 months or so, but they just don't stick. They have a unique style though and make quality music. It's always nice to hear something completely new whether it's up my alley or not.
